The Swedish car maker Volvo has new plans in schedule about their new manufacturing a revamped version of the S60. This long wheelbase version is planned to be expected to the United States and Russia primarily. This esteemed luxury car manufactures, a specialist in sedan and SUVs is currently a sister concern of a Chinese company Zhejiang Geely Holdings. It was declared three years back by Volvo's CEO that they are planning to manufacture cars in China and will then export them to traditional markets in Russia and America.

Their sales margins in these countries are so high that they can easily subdue their brand in the market. More over the cost of manufacturing falls considerably in China and this adds in increasing their market by challenging competitors. They have planned their export activity of their long wheeled version of the S60 to United States in 2015. Volvo has its manufacturing unit at Chengdu, China and they have started manufacturing from last year. Till now they have supplied the cars to the local market which already has a considerable demand. But sticking to their precious announcement, they are planning to start exporting their cars to valued markets in United States and Russia.

This new model bears a S60L moniker, and this elongated version of the Swedish Sedan, this S60L has provoked a plug hybrid variant on a wheel base of 2856mm. This new wheelbase is about 80 mm longer than its standard model. Moving on to its engine, the Volvo S60 has a 2 litre engine, T5 Drive-E front wheel drive model has a base price tag of $33,300. And for China only, the entry level price of the S60L, that is the elongated version has a minimum price of $43,285. There is going to be a healthy price rise for this elongated version as it hits the US markets.

Its new variant, Volvo S60L Plug-in Hybrid has a scheduled launch in the Chinese market in early 2015. This new car is being launched quite on time and the versions of the S60 id mitting the market in sharp frequency, but the price of this new model is rumoured to soar to new heights. In the Chinese market itself, it will cost nearly 320,000 Yuans that can be converted to nearly $51,377, a strong price tag for a Sedan of that stature.

Analysis is being done to market this new Volvo S60L Plug-in Hybrid model on US soil. But their expected hike in its market price for this model, if they design a same with US materials is boosting their price to new extremes. A few grand may be added to its local Chinese market price of $51,377. The combination produced by its supercharged engines is supposed to deliver a balance of both power and fuel efficiency to attract customers from all economic classes. This model has been a consistent revenue maker for Volvo with smallest interiors in the class of compact sedans, but the new elongated S60L is more comfortable with wider back seats.
