Why the new Volkswagen Scirocco series is a true performer on all scales
|   Sunday, July 13, 2014
German auto maker Volkswagen is finally ready to launch a revamped model of its Scirocco. This car has been in market for more than six years. Its first model was launched in 2008 and has shown steady success in international market. This model was widely exported, but many features in this car found themselves to be outdated as years passed by. Finally Volkswagen has finished their incentives on this hatchback and will hit the market in the coming year or by the end of this year.

Scirocco has seen all forms of redesigning that could be bumped on it as a lot of improvement is done to its engine and also its looks. The basic design is yet related, but its head lights and backlights have undergone excellent alterations and this will surely catch eyes when it will roll on the road. The anticipations have come to a halt and this will be a performer for drivers who love a cosy drive on a comfy hatchback, especially when it is a Volkswagen.

Both ends of this Scirocco have undergone changes and this will be very well reflected with the modifications made to its backlight and bumper. They have adopted the LED lights which gives it a sharp look when it grazes streets at night and startles the envious eyes of other onlookers. It has been holding the similar chrome mirrors on both sides and this will surely be an optimising factor for its looks. Nothing has upgraded its looks like the LED taillights.

Volkswagen has revealed to the media that they have redesigned the engine and its efficiency is up by nearly 19%. This news has attracted many car critics and technical analysers who were awaiting a technical improvement in this Scirocco. This car will provide a medium output of 124 bhp and this is why a brand new 1.4 litre TSI engine has found its shelter under this car's bonnet. This is engine is petrol driven and is featured in this basic Scirocco facelift.

The Scirocco R, which is also rumoured to be launched in parallel with the facelift and will feature itself as a high end model. Its engine is far better than that of the Scirocco facelift and its output is quite dominant for a car of that range. Its engine will give a lofty output of 277 bhp and will be a 2.0 litre TSI engine. There is a big difference between the price of the two models and this is why the Scirocco R is far ahead in the scale of performance.

This Scirocco will bear a price tag ranging from 20,455 to 24,675 GBP, a few thousands above the original Scirocco. But the price of this Scirocco R is revealed to be nearly 33,795 GBP. Scirocco R has 18 inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights and even Bluetooth. Scirocco R will have attractive sports seats and they are particular to the R model only. Scirocco will have an upgraded interior with touchscreen infotainment but the GT will have excellent features like real privacy glass.
