Volvo Ready to Unveil the C Coupe Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show
|   Sunday, September 08, 2013
People who say Money can't buy taste surely haven't seen the latest C Coupe Concept from Volvo. Geely has spent Billions on a new designer to create a new image for the next generation vehicles from Volvo and the C Coupe was supposed to be the first vehicle in the lineup. However, this vehicle has received widespread critical acclaim for its sheer designing beauty.

Volvo was known as the old man's car. However, with the C Coupe Concept, the tagline seems a little inappropriate with the car.
The younger generation is bedazzled with the new C Coupe, which is set to make an official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. Volvo is currently trying to merge the C Coupe Concept with the P1800, although the final touches remain to be given.

As far as the external peripherals of the car are concerned such as the grille, panels and bumpers etc, this car is a massive attention seeker and hence Volvo is letting the hype build itself. The C Coupe Concept has been designed by Volvo's Vice President Designs, Thomas Ingenlath and the car has been given an aggressive character, blended with panache. The C Coupe Concept has been officially compared to a lion and the next generation 2014 Volvo CX90 could take designing cues from this car.

Although the interior has not been formally introduced to the market, it features a typically handcrafted crystal gear knob along with fancy leatherwork. The drive train however is not as immensely powerful as we might have wanted it to be, although the supercharged 2.0 liter turbo drive engine runs on gasoline Drive E.
The engine displaces a decent 400 BHP along with 440 ft lb of torque and until further information is revealed, these are the specifications which we have been made aware of. The C Coupe has been inspired partly by the P1800 Coupe although the visual resemblances are more retro futuristic than one generally figures. The basic principle behind the designing was to incorporate and reflect the characteristics of Volvo into the new design and this was done beautifully.

Even though the exterior resembles a futuristic design efficiently, it has been done keeping in mind the bland designing which Volvo stood for all these years. The safety measures however are as steady as ever and hence the product has not suffered any major downsides as a result of the modifications. All new T shaped Daytime Running Lights have been introduced to the car and they enhance the way the exterior appeals to the masses.

Although if the C Coupe will make it to the official lineup is a different story, but future vehicles will definitely draw designing cues from the vehicle for sure. Volvo has reached a stage where the old boxy design of the vehicle will be replaced by newer creations. The C Coupe is the beginning of the new designing era. The floating front grille for example is a complete new addition and it has attracted a lot of positive attention to it.
