Volvo aims at the executive segment of the market with the launch of the new S60, V60 and V70

Car makers Volvo recently announced a business class edition of their models V60, S60 and V70 designed especially for the driving experience. The cars are more drivers oriented than the present ES and the ES NAV variants which are executive class vehicles from Volvo.

Volvo aims to attract the executive class and with the launch of these models, the company aims to take its position to the number one spot. The new models have a few business oriented features involved like Bluetooth connectivity, high quality audio equipments, personal satellite navigation system and rear parking assistance.

The cars are set to hit global markets in September and bookings have already started. Volvo aims these vehicles at the business class people who love their driving experiences and these models are not meant to be chauffeur driven.

The executive class vehicles offer high performance with equally low Co2 emissions and return high mileage figures. Volvo plans to achieve higher sales in the executive class and this seems more likely with the launch of the new range of vehicles.

The executive class vehicles save approximately 3,000 Pounds in comparison to other business class vehicles in the segment and also provide benefit in kind tax savings at the end of the year.
The executive class S 60 costs 19,990 Pounds for the basic version and 21,321 Pounds for the high end model. These cars are cheaper than the present E 60 class that is aimed at the business sector hence giving Volvo a high chance of capturing the executive class market.

The Volvo V 70 D2 power shift executive class vehicle starts from approximately 24,990 Pounds and hence saves close to 2,500 Pounds on an average. Spokespersons from Volvo claim that the executive sector is an important customer for the company and it aims to provide maximum customer satisfaction.

Volvo executive vehicles sales have increased by 32% since the past quarter and the company aims to improve this ratio by the end of the year. The earlier ES and the ES NAV versions are soon to be phased out and the lower price tag is sure to attract additional customers from other sectors of the community.

Engineers at Volvo are constantly looking for new improvements and developments that could further enhance the driving experience, luxury and performance of the cars at reduced costs. Volvo's new model analysis tool, soon to be launched, will allow customers to compare different vehicles in a definite range therefore enabling them to choose better from a vast list of potential vehicles.

The executive class edition of the vehicles are powered by a new V8 engine and minor tweaks in suspension and a brand new transmission have made the cars even better to drive. With smooth acceleration, crisp handling and perfect cornering capability, the new range of vehicles is nothing less than sports cars with high end luxury.

Bookings have been great till now and Volvo expects an increase in the number of bookings once the cars have been launched.
