Volkswagen to build 2017 Golf SportWagen next year
|   Monday, May 04, 2015
The German carmaker Volkswagen finally decided to bring the 2017 version of their Golf SportWagen's AllTrack car. This model will come up with all wheel driven facility with off-road style affections. Its base product had come two decades ago and next version is 2017th edition. VW is selling such type of Golf cars since early 1990s. But those style Golf cars couldn't be sold that much in U.S. So the people are eagerly waiting for a better golf sports star like SportWagen.

Though VW has not released much of info of this model, but its European version ready to be sold in Germany and all of its details are published already. The U.S version has the target to be sold on later of 2016 and in Mexico, it will be manufactured. That plant is responsible to build so many all wheel driving based vehicles of VW.

The SportWagen's all wheel driven facility comes with 4MOTION and its Alltrack system is not just for appearance only but also it offers true capability. The carmaker decoupled its rear axle to produce better efficiency from driveline in everyday driving. This will make it feel like a classic front wheel driven Golf mostly. In case of requirement of four wheel drive traction, it makes the Haldex clutch call rears to do the duty. Almost 100% torque can be sent in this process.

There is a drive mode selection to tweak transmission parameters and throttle. It also adds few extra Off Road settings in it such as hill descent controls, lengthier ABS pulses for gravelling or snow getting piled up in front wheels to make the braking distance shorter during decelerating harder in loose surfaces. The chassis get growth by 0.8 inches which may not be big change but certainly a big plus point as it will help a lot in dirt roads and two tracks.

It also comes with an aesthetic pack which offers restyled design at front and back side too having aggressive fascias with fake skidding plates. The fender flares are there for providing more protection. The wheels would be either of 17 inches or 18 inches. However, the off road lovers would like to have steel wheel option. Tires have taller sidewalls for better grip. Interior of Alltrack has model specific content rather than fabric, trim and nondescript items. As a Golf SportWagen it has the handsome and restrained look at both inside and outside.

Though Golf Alltrack is a new model, still yet it handles all those tasks that a typical Golf car could do. It provides refinement in all kinds of tasks with a better quality ride and offers ability that you have never experienced before. Its handling quality is awesome since it is engineered to work perfectly against centre of gravity. Steering wheel is handled with ease and it gives quick response to all inputs with nice hugs corners every time. It will offer 110 hp diesel options with 1.6 liter size TDI. Another type engine has 2.0 liter size TDI offering 184 or 150 hp. There is another option with 1.8 liter as well.
