|   Saturday, May 02, 2015
The current Scirocco is still in a lot of demand in auto market and Volkswagen is all set to launch another form in GTS style in auto show of Shanghai. This new model is said to be slotted in between R performance and base models. Its first version was introduced before more than 30 years and each time since then it has got improved in many ways. This new GTS is split now so that GTI can fit easily with Golf range.

The upcoming Scirocco has got a 2.
liter size engine with turbocharged four with 210 horsepower having six speeds manual or it may come with DSG. It also has 18 inch standard wheels which can be changed to 19 inches if buyer wishes. There is a little bit more departure from aero kit and R Line with the top racing stripes. They designers have upgraded its interior with a new look having a shifter of golf ball in the manual versions. Other small improvements are applied to it.

The 220 PS based Scirocco GTS can reach 246 km per hour as top speed and it accelerates to 100 km per hour while standing still in only 6.5 seconds. New and latest feature of red brake calipers are added to it exclusively. Unique GTS interior features have been installed in this model such as golf ball knob and red stitching etc. It also has latest tech infotainment systems of new generation. Infotainment has got modular matrix (MIB II) facility for all models starting from May end.

Optional feature added with super fast gear shifting option which can be ordered separately having six speeds DSG gearbox. They have recaptured the making of first version of Scirocco back in 1982 and tried to give install shadow in the 2015 version. If number of selling is concerned, this model has a lot of success as it has been sold more than a million making it a very successful sports vehicle.

The secret behind keeping a car alive for so many years is reinventing it each time in a better way. Firstly, Scirocco was introduced as a pure sports car in Europe and even today it managed to stay young. It was first presented in Geneva's auto show before 41 years ago and immediately became German coupes' icon. Million Scirocco units have been made after that and it still continues to impress people from all over the world. This time it will have complete new ranged engine and many other features related to interior and exterior.

This 162kW / 220PS sports car is to be revealed in Shanghai. It shares few designs and engine features with Golf GTI. It will use a turbocharged and directly injected petrol engine which is a very agile four cylinder engine. It will enable the Scirocco GTS with either 6 speeds DSG or manual gearbox. It will offer fuel efficiency as 6.1 liter per 100 km while with manual gearbox and 6.4 per 100 km while with DSG gearbox. Its CO2 emission is recorded as 142 g/km.
