Volkswagen ready to roll out the all new 2.0 liter Beetle
|   Wednesday, January 30, 2013
Volkswagen has introduced a new vehicle in its lineup for the United Kingdom – the all new Beetle. The vehicle features a 2.0 liter turbo charged engine displacing 197 BHP along with 206 ft lbs of torque and this has been done to add a little peppiness to the engine and overall ride quality. The vehicle also features independent air strut suspension with independent torsion beam and this makes the ride quality even better while improving on the ride quality.

Volkswagen had initially planned on increasing the power behind the vehicle and hence giving it an added appeal on the road. However, the modification went better than expected and the new Beetle is one of the quickest Beetles on the road. Volkswagen has given the Beetle a whole new appeal and this vehicle has a chic appeal in this field dominated by male oriented rides.

The Beetle is cute and powerful, a deadly combination which has the capability to design some of the most successful vehicles on the planet. The vehicle although features no stark modification on the exterior, is a whole new deal on the inside. The driving experience feels out of the world and this is probably one of the best features about the vehicle.

The 2.0 liter turbo charged engine on the Beetle has been lifted directly off the last edition of the Volkswagen Golf GTI, although it has been slightly detuned. This vehicle could make a serious new addition to the garage and has sufficient performance packed inside the hood to make it just the right amount of performance and panache. However, the Beetle was not designed initially as a performance vehicle.

In fact the original idea behind the Beetle was to create an affordable ride for the common people that would be easy to own and maintain. The downsides with the current edition of the Beetle are the steering system and the suspension and both need to be dealt with effectively. The Beetle still features minor problems with its body balance and weight and this needs to be dealt with effectively in the next version of the car.

An electromechanical steering wheel should solve the problem with the handling inefficiency. However, the suspension setting needs help as the current settings feel wooden and unstable. On an iconic ride such as the Beetle, minor problems do not look good and hence removing such issues should be a Volkswagen primary concern at the moment. Despite all the flaws, it is still a Beetle and this should be reason enough for this vehicle to find a suitable place in the market.

Priced at £24,605, the Beetle provides a dynamic perfection that is hard to deny and is considered to be one of the most ergonomic in the market in terms of precision and fashion. Featuring a top speed of 139 MPH, the Beetle reaches 0 – 60 MPH in 7.5 seconds. The 4 cylinder engines manage to produce a decent 1984 cc along with 197 BHP @ 5100 RPM along with 206 ft lbs at 5000 RPM.
