Volkswagen plans on introducing a new economic brand for third world countries
|   Sunday, October 14, 2012
The Volkswagen group is keen to launch a new and practical low cost brand of vehicles that will take on the likes of the newly launched Dacia, the company sources have revealed. Volkswagen is known for producing vehicles that are technologically advanced with standard luxury features and decent performance. The first such example is the now iconic Beatle.
Volkswagen plans to relive the legacy of the Beetle by launching a new lineup of vehicles that will be considered among the cheapest of vehicles in the market.
Volkswagen plans to challenge Skoda, Audi and Seat with the launch of this low priced vehicle and this is set to be launched in the near future.

The plans are on and the designs have not been finalized as of yet. However, this vehicle will be the cheapest in the lot from Volkswagen. Volkswagen had been planning to launch a low cost vehicle for quite some time now and the plans are in their final stages. NO decision has however been taken and there is still some time left for the official announcements to be made.

The rumors are that Volkswagen is considering this vehicle for the price sensitive Indian, Latin American, Asian and African countries along with the Baltic region but company sources have refused to comment as of yet. It is still premature to comment on the likes of the vehicle. However, considering Volkswagen's successful stint with low budget cars, the new brand is set to feature some quality products from the car maker.

Volkswagen is upgrading the Santana in the Chinese market and the new vehicles could be in a similar segment. Volkswagen is currently probing all the possibilities and their outcomes and the board will come to a decision very soon. As of now we can only wait and watch as the chapter unfolds.

Volkswagen's Santana upgrade will feature on the Seat Toledo and the Skoda Rapid and the platform is expected to be shared. No details or drive train specifications have been given and people are waiting for Volkswagen to come out with official figures. The vehicle is expected to be showcased fall 2013 and the hopes are high as the Santana is a very successful model.

Volkswagen is keen on the new line up and will price this vehicle just below the Volkswagen Up. The small car segment is set for a global boom and Volkswagen automobiles is all set to cash in on the occasion. The third world countries are set to be the primary target for Volkswagen and the officials are quite excited about the new brand. The emerging models from Volkswagen will be showcased primarily for the European market and the marketing team of Volkswagen is considering entering into the Asian market as there is a lot of untapped potential here.

The American and European market is almost saturated and there is no room for improvement in the budget car segment. The vehicles are set to be fuel efficient and Volkswagen has promised an official confirmation soon.
