Volkswagen Plan on Launching the All New CC
|   Tuesday, February 12, 2013
With the launch of the new Volkswagen CC, the company hopes to take this vehicle to a whole new dimension over its predecessor, the Passat. The four door sedan poses a great ride on the market and people hoping to use this vehicle for professional use will be in for a treat once the vehicle launches. Initially named the Passat moniker, the name was changed to CC as Volkswagen wanted to get out of the Passat tag.

The exterior has been designed at par with most Volkswagen creations with the standard grille, headlamp and panel designs.
The Volkswagen logo has been etched on the grille and the headlamps have been pulled backwards to give the CC a laid back look. Although the badge has been redesigned, there is no mistaking this vehicle and it sports a minor resemblance to the last generation Passat.

Engine refinement is at a whole new level and the powerhouse is quite relaxing and comforting on the ears. Once inside the cabin, neither the engine vibrations nor the excessive sound is perceived and the CC provides a smooth sail over asphalt. The vehicle features a 1.8 liter TSI engine displacing 158 BHP and a 2.0 liter TSI engine 207 BHP.

The diesel drive train option includes a 2.0 liter TDI engine displacing 138 BHP and 168 BHP respectively on the tuned engine. The additional XDS technology on the diesel vehicles provides the additional edge the CC enjoys over the Passat. Power generation has been enhanced and this makes the CC a superior vehicle. The Volkswagen Passat drew widespread criticism for being a lightweight performer. However, the CC has managed to prove the critics wrong.

The CC has been tested on the track and the diesel options managed to fare considerably better than their petrol counterparts, although the petrol provides more power on paper. The dashboard on the CC is unlike that of the Passat and the equipment level of the CC is quite advanced. Bi xenon headlamps have been installed on the top most GT models in the lineup and the vehicle features standard Satellite Navigation on all models.

Rear parking assistance measures are also available and the CC is without doubt the most wanted Volkswagen sedans on the road. The CC is in a tough segment in the market and competitors find it quite a difficult segment to fight in. Volkswagen has maintained the perfect balance between performance and class and hence there is no CC rivaling vehicle on the road today.

Volkswagen has designed the CC like on other vehicle in its class and this gives the CC the added edge when it comes to the marketing potential. The age old five door version formula has been used to design the CC and this is what makes the vehicle stand out in its class. A Coupe version could be launched depending upon the popularity of the CC and Volkswagen is confident that this vehicle will be received well in the market. However, the final sales potential of the CC can be gauged post launch.
