In the Geneva, motor show the Volkswagen will be showing one of their new cars that will be having a diesel engine in it. The Geneva motor show will held in the month of March and it is one of the biggest events that occur in the car making industry. A lot of new cars and their concepts will be available in this motor show.

The Volkswagen Company will be adding a new vehicle in the list of cars and that is GTD, which is the Volkswagen's seventh-generation of Golf lineup.
It will be available for display to the public at the Geneva motor show.

The company is planning to set the sales for this car m the June of this year. The car will be having the same Volkswagen's EA288 engine in it, which certainly is the standard engine in the golf diesel cars produced by the company. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is capable of producing and giving 184 HP at 3, 500 RPM along with 280 lb-ft of the torque at the 1,750 rpm.

The dates for the release of this car in the united states is still not confirmed and according to one of the representatives of the company, the company does put up Golf TDI for sale that have a capability of giving 42 mpg from the 140-HP and the 236-lb-ft just from four-cylinder.

The company uses a lightweight piston in addition to valve gear that allows low friction on the car and improves the thermal properties of the car. There is a huge attention paid to the exhaust of the car along with this there is one more thing and that is the compression ratio. It is much lower than the previous versions of the car.

There is a six-speed manual gearbox, which is one of the standard equipment in the cars designed by the Volkswagen. This will be helping in a smoother drive. The company will be given an option of a six-speed dual-clutch DSG to those who want to have it in their cars. So one can choose which option to select.

Th e Volkswagen Company states that this Golf GTD can give 62 mph in 7.5 seconds; along with this, the car is able to give a top speed of about 143 mph. It is achieved with a six-speed of manual.

In the European test, the combined cycle of fuel consumption is rated to be about 56 mpg. It is not as a sportier version of the car then the previous versions of the car. It seems to be a serene styling twist in the seventh-generation Golf versions of the car, which is a lot like the GTi.

In the interior of the car, you can see the sport seats in combination of the black headlining. Toward the front, the car has a sports steering wheel along with a stainless steel pedal with footrests. The car also offers many optional GTD themed trims for you to select from them.

The prices are yet to confirm so wait for an official release of the prices, which are soon expected in the motor show.
