Vauxhall and Vuhl Announces New Vehicles up for Launch within Next Three Months
|   Friday, July 26, 2013
Vauxhall has officially released the details of the Insignia Country Tourer which is expected to be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September. The Country Tourer is expected to rival Audi's A6 Allroad although the first batch will be available for sale post April 2014. The Country Tourer was spotted testing previously and the entry model is powered by a turbo charged 2.0 liter CDTi engine.

This engine displaces 161 BHP along with 258 ft lb of torque and is expected to feature an over boost functionality.
A higher placed 195 BHP displacing 2.09 liter engine is also on the cards and displaces 247 BHP along with 295 ft lb of torque. This SIDI engine is the current flagship in this range and Vauxhall pins hope on to this production version.

The 2.0 liter turbo diesel and the CDTi engines are mated to a six speed automatic transmission system although a higher powered 2.0 liter turbo charged engine can be ordered with a seven speed automated transmission system. The front grille of the Country Tourer is deeper than any other vehicles at the moment and this accommodates an all new chromed front end with greay cladding. Protection plates have been installed underneath the vehicle to save it from off road antics.

An electronically controlled 4 x 4 system monitors the car while the torque is distributed evenly on to the front and rear axles of the vehicle quite uniformly. Vauxhall is confident that their newest addition will save fuel and weight and will affect handling in a positive manner. However, extra torque is required at times and the lack is felt at times. The prices are yet to be confirmed and Vauxhall says that they will announce the pricing and details regarding the vehicle at the time of launch.

Vühl 05 is the latest track vehicle to be unveiled at the Good Wood Festival of Speed. The images of the car were showcased recently and this is the first production ready vehicle from Mexican car makers Vühl. The 05 is powered by a 2.0 liter Eco Boost engine designed by Ford. The company expects this vehicle to sit somewhere between the Lotus Elise and the Ariel Atom and is expected to sport a base price tag of £59,900.

A Special Edition vehicle will also be available for £69,900, although these are the introductory prices of the vehicle. The Edition One will be the perfect competitor to the Radical SR3, Lotus Exige S and the Porsche Boxter S. This vehicle is based around an aluminum monocoque design although major modifications have been made to make this vehicle one of the safest on road cars today.

This vehicle sports huge torsion rigidity and the experts believe that this vehicle sports twice the amount of torsion as that of the Lotus Elise. This is aimed at making the vehicle more handling friendly as compared to any of its competitors. The 05 is a hugely anticipated vehicle although only a track test will reveal the sporty edge this car is rumored to hold.
