Upcoming vehicles which will be missed in Europe
|   Saturday, January 19, 2013
The Detroit Motor Show has seen a host of new launches that will not be available in the UK, at least for the moment. Some of the vehicles that are not going to make it to the British shores are the VW Cross Blue, Toyota Furia, Corvette Stingray, Lincoln MKC, Hyundai HCD 14, Chevrolet Silverado, Kia Cadenza, Cadillac ESR, Usain Bolt Nissan GTR and the Tesla Model X to name a few.

The seven seated Volkswagen Cross Blue Concept is an epic example of the limits to which the MQB platform can be stretched.
The vehicle has been designed, keeping in mind the Ford Explorer and the vehicle is expected to be a direct rival to the vehicle. Although the production model is expected to be out in 2015, the vehicle is not expected to hit the British shores as of for now.

The Toyota Furia is a design of what the future Corolla could look like, however this vehicle is unlikely to be unveiled in the UK. However, the good news with the launch of the Furia is the fact the Toyota is looking at an image makeover and very soon its vehicles could have a very different exterior look.

Chevrolet is enthusiastic about the new vehicle from its stable – the Corvette Stingray. This vehicle will be priced under the £50,000 and is expected to rival the Porsche 911. The Stingray has been designed on a right hand drive platform and Chevrolet has setup a launch deadline till 2015. Therefore there is a long waiting period for this vehicle and a lot of hurdles need to be crosses before a production model of this vehicle is out on the streets.

The teaser of the upcoming Tesla Model X has also been showcased and this vehicle is moving towards production stages. The performance figure of this vehicle is equivalent to that of the Porsche 911 and is believed to sport Falcon doors. However, the problem with this SUV is that, it is too big and a seven seated vehicle of this size is unlikely to sell in the UK.

The Hyundai HCD 14 is also expected to be out by the end of the year and this vehicle is being termed as the new designing inspiration for the future vehicles from Hyundai. No production model is expected to be launched in the UK and this is a negative aspect of this vehicle. Lincoln has also showcased the LKC concept and this 4.55 meter long vehicle has been based on the Ford Kuga / Escape.

The iconic Chevrolet Silverado is expected to be launched in America once the vehicle is ready to go into production and this is an important vehicle for Chevrolet as it has been in sale since 1975. The new makeover is all set to set up the car in the hearts of the new generation. The Kia K7 / Cadenza are ready for production and this Korean vehicle is set to be available in the Asian and American markets by year end.
