Toyota Reveals 2015 Camry at New York
|   Monday, April 21, 2014
Toyota has unveiled an upgraded variant of their range toping Camry, just three years after the last generation was unveiled. Such a huge modification, so early in a vehicle's life span, makes the Toyota Camry, a vehicle to watch out for. Strong competition from Ford's Fusion – also known as the Mondeo in some countries – pushed the officials to make such a decision.

Hyundai has also come up with an upgraded Sonata at New York, which could also have played an important part in Toyota coming up with such a radical change.
Toyota has sold over 408,000 units of the Camry in the United States alone in 2013. The Camry has the potential to be sold as an individual brand in the US. The Camry, as a result, is a very important vehicle for Toyota and hence the need for an upgrade grows evident.

Toyota claims to have used over 2,000 new parts in their 2015 Camry, while the chassis features spot welds at parts, in order to enhance structural rigidity. Suspension has been retuned, while the tracks are wider by over 10 mm. A new and aggressive grille is in place, highlighting the vehicle in general. LED Daytime Running Lamps have been added to enhance the general front section of this vehicle.

Interior modifications are a part of the complete overhaul on the Camry, while Toyota claims to have specially designed this vehicle for maximum reliability. Large improvements regarding wind noise and refinement are promised, while an advanced wireless smart phone charging system is in place. This vehicle is expected to draw power from a range of 2.5 liter and 3.5 liter V6 engine blocks.

Hybrid power trains will also be available from start while every engine option will be mated to a CVT six speed transmission system. This vehicle is expected to be built in the state of Kentucky, America, while the first lot should be available by autumn 2014. Toyota had a lot to tackle on their plate, although they seem to have done a commendable job. The interior needs special mention as everything has been clearly laid out, in order to aid the driver.

Everything is well within reach, with suitable high end safety measures to aid on road safety. Nissan's latest Alltime has played a major role in the American market in 2013, while eating into Toyota Camry's market share. This played a major role in Toyota taking back what is rightfully theirs. Toyota dealers in America however say that the Camry does not need any revolutionary changes, in order to get back in favor with their American loyalists.

This vehicle is tried and tested and suitable for American markets. Minor upgrades to design and technology should be sufficient in getting this vehicle back to the top selling charts. Insiders at Toyota say that they were instructed to remain tightlipped about this vehicle from higher sources. Hence, information leak regarding the 2015 Camry was limited. Stay tuned as we get back to you with latest new, reports and drive test reviews.
