Toyota And Suzuki Join Forces To Win New Markets Or To Reinforce Their Position!
|   Thursday, October 13, 2016
Toyota and Suzuki signed a partnership in which the two companies will concentrate more on developing electric cars, autonomous safety systems and develop the latest technologies.
Coincidence or not, this new alliance comes just a few days after Renault-Nissan and Mitsubishi Group announced their merger, more exactly Renault-Nissan Group bought shares at Mitsubishi .

The situation seems to be a bit different in that new alliance because the two manufacturers have resorted to this partnership in order to keep pace with European and US rivals but the two companies will remain rivals on the market and more than that they will have the freedom to achieve partnerships with other builders.

The two Japanese giants have announced a partnership to develop electric cars and autonomous safety systems. In this way, they want to outdo their rivals in Europe and the United States.

Currently, groups composed of many automakers, such as Volkswagen, PSA and Renault-Nissan, are increasingly gaining more ground against other manufacturers. Among the latter there are also the Japanese giants Toyota and Suzuki have who have just become partners.
This agreement aims at developing green cars and security and information technology, with which the two carmakers hope to beat the European and American rivals.

Some time ago, some voices claimed that Toyota was ready to buy Suzuki, but in the end, it seems that a partnership was pleasing to both parties.
Toyota will have access to the knowledge of the other Japanese manufacturer in the small and cheap car segment and to recover lost ground over rivals in the European and American market.
Meanwhile, Suzuki does not sit very well in terms of development and latest technologies, nor does it have additional resources to invest in these areas, so it will benefit from those of Toyota.

Akio Toyoda, Toyota's CEO said "We must have the ability to respond to changes in order to survive. Apart from the research and development done by individual companies, it is very important to have partners with the same objective and the same passion."

Osamu Suzuki, president of the same company, explained the decision behind this partnership saying that "research and development in the automotive industry is changing rapidly, and the future looks dangerous."
