|   Friday, November 29, 2013
The Tokyo Motor Show ended this week and some of the highlights of this show are as follows. Jaguar showcased its latest F Type Coupe at this event while its teaser was showcased along with some leaked images prior to this show. This vehicle is available in three engine lineups – V6, V8 and V6S while its range topping version will get a supped up version of its V8. This 5.0 liter turbo charged engine displaces 542 BHP while accelerating from 0 – 60 MPH within 4.
seconds with a top speed of 186 MPH.

Lexus came up with the latest forced induction technology for its LF NX and this is the first vehicle from the company to feature its latest four cylindered 2.0 liter turbo charged engine. This vehicle however does not feature a hybrid power train and this has been done to cater to the speed lovers who want uninhibited power supply along with brutal torque.

Porsche unveiled its latest big vehicle this month in the form of the Macan 4 x 4. This vehicle will be able to take on BMW's X3 and Range Rover's Evoque quite easily when it arrives in showrooms across the United Kingdom fall April 2014. This vehicle draws power from a 3.6 liter twin turbo charged engine displacing 394 BHP mated to a seven speed automated transmission system. This vehicle features permanent four wheel drive while Porsche claims it can accelerate from 0 – 60 MPH within 6.5 seconds. We have also come to know of a top speed of 165 MPH.

Nissan has promised to wow audiences with its latest GTR Nismo and this vehicle proved to be the center of attraction at the Tokyo Motor Show. This vehicle recorded a lap time of 7 minutes and 8.679 seconds at Nurburgring, exactly 10 seconds less than its predecessor. This is massive improvement shaving off such a considering time value. This vehicle is said to sport a price tag close to £100,000 although final prices are yet to be revealed.

Mercedes Benz has also come up with its latest addition to its lineup, the all new and much refined SLS AMG GT. This is the final version of this vehicle as the German car makers plan on bidding farewell to this model for a much advance version within the next few years. This vehicle should be powered by a naturally aspirated 6.3 liter V8 engine block displacing 583 BHP. This Limited Edition version will feature bespoke wheels and intrinsic body work although just 350 units of this vehicle will be available for sale.

These vehicles are unique in every sense although they are all production vehicles or updated versions. We will be waiting intently for each of these vehicles to be available, post which a detailed survey followed by a drive test will be posted. Stay tuned for latest updates although we need to be really lucky in order to get out hands on the Limited Edition Mercedes Benz SLS AMG. Come back for more.
