Frankfurt auto show is definitely an anxiously expected event as it will also host the public display of the latest A8 engines, a lot lighter structure, fresh support systems and Matrix LED technology for the headlight. The company is confident that the new A8 will outclass the new A8 as a novelty leader among the vehicles in the same luxury range.

A wise new concept of all wheel drive, the new A8 will feature a 3.0 liter engine and 2,034 pound curb weight.
The entire structure of the body is mainly aluminum and weights 509 pounds. Unlike the other regular models which remain unchanged in terms of wheelbase, length and height, the new Audi A8L will be a bit longer 5.12 inches will actually be the difference.

It was recently disclosed that the company is currently preparing four types of engines for the new vehicles: two gasoline and two diesel versions. They are all jazzed up 3.0 TFSI V-6 with a power of 310 hp, the V-8 twin turbo 4.0 TFSI featuring 435 hp and the diesel 3.0 TDI version with 258hp and 4.2 TDI diesel producing 385 hp. The US market is treated differently as the company will release the 6.3 liter 500 hp version just in there.

The S8 model will be featured in a 4.0 liter TSFI V-8 AND 520 hp version and it is said that will be able to handle a 4.2 second, 0-62mph, sprint by using no more that 23.3mpg.

The cylinder on demand technology will make the W-12 use 20.1 and the fuel injection and ignition will be deactivated. The company has acknowledged the customers that 3.0 TDI diesel which is using 40 mpg is the most economical engine. The standard transmission included on the new models is an eight speed Tiptronic transmission and, what is even more, a sport differential is offered as optional for the rear axle which will evenly allocate the power between the back wheels.

In terms of looks, new Audi A8 will include lower edge of headlights and anyone can clearly say that the overall appearance is aggressive probably because of the new and sculptured hood.
Regarding the interior characteristics, the new vehicles will be equipped with seat massage systems and optional ventilation. A center console all wrapped in leather will be available for the L version. The customers that expect more regarding the air conditioning options should be informed that the new cars will have a four zone cooler system. Also, different types of cruise control systems will be available, keeping the luxurious aspects of the brand.

Scheduled to be release on the market in November, the new Audi A8 model will have an average cost of 74,500 euros and it seems that it will compete with the new Mercedes S Class. Although Mercedes has produced two times more vehicles than Audi in the past year, Audi is confident that all the already set sales goals will be achieved.
