The Vauxhall Cascada Is Really a Convertible to Look Out For
|   Monday, June 03, 2013
Most people who buy a convertible look for the visual aesthetics of the ride over its practical ability. So as to say, if a convertible looks good people are going for it irrespective of the fact how well it performs on the road. This brings us to the important question which is would you personally choose an Audi over a lesser priced Vauxhall.

Vauxhall has however given us a chance to discover the other options open to people opting for a convertible with the Cascada.
The Cascada is truly a sleek and suave convertible vehicle and is based on the Vauxhall Astra Twin Top which did not have a very successful run at the market. The Cascada however has a different story to tell and is the perfect competition to the Audi A5 cabriolet.

This vehicle is attractive, has the potential to be a great driver friendly vehicle and is much cheaper than an Audi. The base model of the Cascada is priced at £27,595 and is powered by a 2.0 liter CDTi engine displacing 163 BHP. While the top of the line trim is priced at £35,000. Some of the additional features on this car include a complete Nappa leather interior which is a standard on the Audi A5 cabriolet along with a list of other high end equipment which increase the appeal of this vehicle.

The electronic dampers and suspension settings also make this vehicle what it is and the general ride in this vehicle is highly comfortable. An Audi A5 Cabriolet features close to the same technical specifications on paper as that of the Vauxhall Cascada - although it features an additional automatic transmission system – but is priced close to £37,445.

The top of the line S trim level is available for £40,000 and people would not mind paying for it as it has the brand value of Audi attached to the sales. However, Vauxhall, being a smaller name in the market will not receive such faith from the crowd even though the Cascada is well worth the money. This is an issue which needs time to be fixed as faith is not earned in a day.

However, if the products from Vauxhall stay as user focused as they are now, the company should make some quick progress with the Cascada as this vehicle has the potential to boost up sales. Vauxhall should seriously consider installing 19 inch rims on the Cascada as the 18 inch rims make this vehicle look a little odd.

The Cascada in fact is the perfect vehicle for you to cruise around with the top down. This car has the perfect balance and performance needed to draw in the crowd and Vauxhall continues to impress with the Cascada. Freeway driving has never been so much fun and all for an affordable price as well. A hybrid version of the Cascada would be highly accepted in the market and Vauxhall should think about a few minor glitches if they want to gain a permanent spot in global markets.
