The two giants of the race track - Audi RS4 vs. the Aston Martin Vanquish
|   Tuesday, November 13, 2012
The Audi RS4 and the Aston Martin Vanquish are the heavy armory of the track and both these vehicles feature an excess of 1100 HP together. These vehicles are at the top of their respective segments and brands and are very different in technology, make and finish from one another. While the Audi RS4 is an all wheel drive coupe, the Aston Martin Vanquish is a rear wheel drive estate. While the Audi is powered by a 444 BHP displacing V8, the Aston Martin is powered by a 565 BHP displacing V12 engine.

Both the vehicles fly on asphalt instead of burning rubber and as far as engine refinement is concerned both the machines are at the epitome of refinement. They weight almost the same with the only difference lying in their power train setup. The purpose of both these vehicles is driver pleasure and they both deliver on their promises.

On track, the powerful V12 speeds over the V8. However, the Audi refuses to give in. These are two of the best vehicles from their respective manufacturers and as a result they have a lot of expectations to fulfill. These vehicles are however too big for comfort on track and as a result track driving can become a little difficult and painstaking on the longer run.

On the exterior front, the Vanquish holds an edge over the RS4 and the designing on the Aston Martin is definitely worth a lot of praise. Aston Martin vehicles are known for their style and comfort and the Vanquish delivers on the expectations of customers. Traction and road grip on both the vehicles is high and as a result they provide excellent safety standards. The VH platform of the Aston Martin is a very popular and successful one and the aerodynamics on the vehicles is high.

The interior space on the vehicles is not big enough for comfort however; it is quite cozy and comfortable to be in. The Vanquish features five drive modes and this position the vehicle as a competent track and on road vehicle. With Normal, Drive, Sport, Comfort and Eco modes, the Vanquish is a typical driving machine and hence good for going on long drives in. Luxury comes free when you buy an Aston Martin and this has been reestablished with the launch of the Vanquish.

The smart and mean sound from the V12 chills the interior of every living being and this sound is the best part about the Aston Martin. While the V8 on the Audi RS4 is loud, it is not loud enough to compete with that of the Vanquish. The performance of these vehicles is at a peak level due to the fact that the engineering has been taken special care of.

Both these vehicles have spent months in the wind tunnel to bring all the exterior parts to perfection and the chassis balance along with the suspension and other drive train measures balance the car pretty well on road and on track.
