The Toyota GT86 promises to be more than just another sports car

Toyota has developed quite interesting and smart vehicles in the past and the car maker are set to do the same, only bigger and better this time. The engineers had been working on the all new Toyota GT 86 and the vehicle was tested on the track, only to reveal high end results. An all new supercharged engine has been installed in the vehicle, the details have not been revealed as of yet, and thus enhances performance to a great extent.

With the car being designed in accordance with the Toyota Racing Division, the viability of the end results can be understood.
The GT 86 is set to be showcased in 2013 at the UK and this is scheduled to be the test market for the vehicle. The new GT 86 has been given many minor drive train, ergonomics and aerodynamic changes and this is what enhances performance by such a great deal.

The vehicle was tested at the ParcMotor test track just outside Barcelona and the test drivers seemed to be quite impressed with both the speed and handling of this vehicle. Toyota has been critical while designing this car and no stones have been left unturned during designing and production. As a result this is undoubtedly the best GT 86 ever designed. The vehicle revs hard on straight ways and cuts in sharply around corners, without losing much speed or agility.

The tires and suspension deserve much credit and it is due to the low height of the vehicle that the vehicle feels quite confident around corners. Drifting is a breeze with this vehicle and it's truly is a sports vehicle to reckon once it is available. An upgrade kit will be made available via dealers worth 16,000 Pounds and that will further increase the aggressiveness of this vehicle. On the exterior front, the GT 86 has the standard front grille designed by Toyota and the headlamps have a DRL lining for the first time.

The exhaust note has also been enhanced and this sounds menacing once the car is accelerated to a medium rev range. The traction and road grip have been increased and the high end aftermarket products do their bit to further the performance of this vehicle. The production cars will be available with Dunlop or Bridgestone tires as standard and the braking has been considerably enhanced to control such speed.

The test vehicle was capable of reaching 140 MPH and the production vehicle is expected to improve on this. With acceleration to 60 MPH from a standstill coming in close to 7.4 seconds, this vehicle is quite fast. The transmission system has a 4:3 shift ratio which converts to standard shifting time and the driver will not be uncomfortable shifting gears in the lower rev range.

The best part about the GT 86 however is its price. Toyota claims that this vehicle will be priced just 800 Pounds more than its predecessor and if you are looking for a drifting machine that you could also drive for work, the GT86 is the perfect vehicle for you.
