The Spanish Strike Again: Improved GTA Spano With 925 horsepower
|   Monday, March 23, 2015
The Spanish do not seem like the most aggressive people on the planet, but that does not to stop the people from Spain GTA to seek and make a super sport car. Yeah, not a supercar, not a hyper car, but super sports car.

GTA Spano is the Spanish Super sport car that was presented in an improved version at the Geneva Motor Show. The model will have more power and a top speed of 370 km / h.

Geneva Motor Show is a springboard for development for smaller names in the automotive industry.
The niche in which the Spanish manufacturer GTA, which launched in the past the Spano supercar, decided to return to Geneva will see an improved version of it.

The Spanish were thought to provide a little more power to the 2015 version of the GTA Spano model. Therefore, the engine was modified to get even closer to the threshold of 1,000 horsepower. Instead of a V10 engine displacing 8.4 liters and making 900 horsepower, GTA used a V10 engine displacing 8.0 liters, developed though their own direct labor operations, and capable of delivering 925 horsepower and 1220 Nm of torque.

The abundance of resources has determined the increase of performance achieved by this model. If the old version reaches 100 km / h in 3 seconds, the new version is able to reduce time by 0.1 seconds to 2.9 seconds. Moreover, the maximum speed increased from 350 km / h to 370 km / h.

Changes under the hood were accompanied by some aesthetic amendments. Specifically, the GTA Spano has benefited from completely new bodywork, made of carbon fiber, kevlar and titanium. The back also suffered aesthetic changes, which means new tail lights, new dual exhausts on each side, a deflector and a spoiler mounted on the luggage compartment, made of the same lightweight materials.

Graphene is new 2D carbon material under development. This material has brought the scientists from the University of Manchester the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2010. Among the most important properties of this material is and the fact that it is lightweight but extremely heavy, 200 times stronger than steel, but incredibly flexible, resistant to fire but it still retains heat.

Due to the cooperation of GTA, which is based in Valencia, Spain and Graphenano, the top Spanish company in the production of graphene, the GTA Spano model became the first super sports car in the world which has used this technology in many parts the GTA Spano.

This way, the Spanish brand has achieved a unique status and therefore set a reference value for the car industry, with a tremendous product, thanks to these new components.

After its debut in Geneva, the GTA Spano will go into production, but the number of copies scheduled will be limited to only 99 units.
The price tag of 800,000 dollars will position this super sports car between the hybrid hyper cars of Porsche, Ferrari, McLaren and the traditional half a million dollars supercar.
