|   Friday, October 09, 2015
The Rolls-Royce company officially unveiled a new creation, a four seat convertible car named Dawn. The model was presented to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show and sales will begin in 2016.

The British have said that at the base of the convertible model is not from any other car in its portfolio, even the Wraith coupe, and despite the familiar design of the new convertible car, the Rolls-Royce Dawn has 80 percent unique exterior details.

If Ghost is a sedan, Wraith is a coupe, the Dawn model takes on the role of being a convertible car from Rolls-Royce range, split between three models with the same platform.
Of course, every Rolls-Royce is unique in some way.

Despite the fact that 80 percent of the Dawn's design elements are new, the model keeps the traditional grille of the British brand. This is reduced by approximately 45 millimeters and the front bumper has been extended by 53 millimeters to focus the eyes of viewers on the grille, and making the car look more dynamic even when standing still.

Through this exercise, the Rolls-Royce convertible offers a new style and makes it, according to the British company, focused and dynamic. The back was fit to give the image of a motorboat. This design is specifically the brand's in the golden age of the Drophead coupe. The wooden deck, which marks this stylistic option, can be described as a masterpiece in terms of car design, and people from Rolls-Royce offer customers the opportunity to choose their own wood if they want it. The same wood would form the basis of the inside inserts.

As always, those of Rolls-Royce promise an almost imperceptible operation at the hearing level of the convertible roof, which can be lowered or ascended in just 20 seconds at speeds up to 50 km / h.

Speaking of interior, the Dawn comes with a 2 + 2 configured cabin and a pile of wood inlays. Here, elegance is supported by the most prestigious facilities that can be found in the automotive industry, such as automatic climate in four areas, premium audio system, with no less than 16 individual speakers, chrome decorative inserts and all kinds of accents.

The brand's team of engineers aims to make the quietest convertible in the world and avoid any turbulence caused by the shape of the roof. In terms of engine, Dawn has a V12 engine, displacing 6.6 liters with two turbochargers that develops 570 hp at 5,250 rpm and 780 Nm of torque at 1,500 rpm. Rolls-Royce Dawn is optimized to 30 percent better acceleration in the mid rev range. When going from 0 to 100 km / h (0 to 60 mph), the new Rolls-Royce convertible needs only 4.9 seconds, while top speed is limited to 250 km / h.

The multimedia complex installed on the Dawn model is somewhat similar to the one shown on the Mercedes-Benz models. It is controlled by a special device with touch panel that supports handwriting with your finger. The system supports Latin, Arabic and Chinese symbols.

The luxury model is equipped with an active cruise control system, adaptive front headlights and satellite navigation system, information is shown on a monitor that measures 10.25 inches. Among the options that will be found on this model is a head-up display and a system for recognizing pedestrians and animals on thermo-graphic cameras.
