The New Audi A4 And A4 Avant 2016 Facelift
|   Friday, July 17, 2015
The new generation Audi A4 is a fascinating synthesis between technology and aesthetics. All the technology in the brand's best-selling family of models has been redefined to establish once again a benchmark in the segment.

A good example of this aspect is the aerodynamics. The A4 Sedan offers best-in-class drag coefficient with a value of 0.23. The extremely low level of CO2 emissions is remarkable too, especially on the ultra models: A4 Sedan 2.
TDI ultra, with 110 kW (150 hp) emits just 95 grams per kilometer, and A4 Avant 2.0 TDI ultra just 99 grams per kilometer.

The Audi A4 Limousine 2.0 TFSI ultra, with 140 kW (190 hp), deliver 109 g/km, and the A4 Avant ultra, with the same engine emits 114 g/km. The most powerful engines are two 6-cylinder TDI units whose powers reach up to 200 kW (272 hp). Assistance and infotainment systems are distinguished by extraordinary quality. The new generation TFSI 4-cylinder unit benefits from new methods of combustion, setting new references in terms of fuel consumption, emissions and performance.

With a length of 4,73 meters and a wheelbase of 2,82 meters - the new Audi A4 is imposing on the road. A prominent horizontal line appears both in the front and rear and emphasizes the width of the vehicle. Concise graceful design lines express the sporting elegance of the brand. The single-frame grill is wider and set lower and the Audi Matrix LED headlights (including dynamic signage) provides a visual trademark.

Compared to the previous model, it has increased size, but the weight has been reduced significantly - up to 120 kg. The body of the new Audi A4 is one of the lightest in its class thanks to both an intelligent mix of materials and lightweight construction.

The new Audi A4 and A4 Avant will have at launch seven motorization, three TFSI and four TDI. Their powers have increased significantly, and varies from 110 kW (150 hp) to 200 kW (272 hp) and fuel consumption was reduced by up to 21 percent.

A4 2.0 TDI ultra consumes on average only 3.7 liters of diesel fuel per 100 kilometers and emits only 95 grams of CO2 per kilometer; corresponding values of the Avant are 3.8 l/100 km and 99 g CO2/km. All engines combine high efficiency with sports power. This is remarkable especially in the case of the two 3.0 TDI engines with 6 cylinders.

The new Audi A4 has a revolutionary innovation for petrol engines: a 2.0 TFSI unit with 140 kW (190 hp), uses a completely new combustion method, particularly effective, providing a fuel consumption of just 4.8 liters per 100 kilometers and CO2 emissions of just 109 g/km; corresponding values for the Avant are 5.0 l/100 km and 114 g CO2/km.

Along the way a g-tron version will be launched whose method of propulsion uses natural gas or the Audi e-gas – the fuel produced in a sustainable way by the guys from Audi.
The new Audi A4 and A4 Avant will be available in Europe starting fall of 2015.
