The New 2014 Opel Vivaro
|   Wednesday, March 26, 2014
The new Opel Vivaro combines the functionality of a light commercial vehicle, with the design and comfort of a passenger car. The second generation of the successful Opel model will be released this summer.

With about 50,000 units sold annually, it covers over 10 percent of the European market for midsize closed boxes trucks.

Known as Vauxhall in the UK, Mark Adams, Vauxhall Design Vice President said that "The second-generation Vauxhall Vivaro distinguishes itself with its superb practicality and quality.
After 13 successful years on the market, we wanted to make the new Vivaro's packaging even more attractive while raising the standard of its core capabilities. The new Vivaro showcases sculptural artistry and technical precision with sweeping sculptural design accents, bold proportions and premium accents. This gives it a sharpened and more refined character, making it the ideal mobile business cards."

The Opel Vivaro exterior is now even more elegant and modern. The headlights have ultra-glossy black frames with integrated chrome accents that highlight the effect of the precious material.
Wing-shaped daytime running lights, specific to Opel, are equipped with modern LED technology, giving the Vivaro car an unmistakable look.

Thanks to that it radiates elegance with the wide front side and the simple and practical back. The Vivaro clearly reflects the robustness that customers expect from this model during everyday use.

Depending on the usage of the new Vivaro – as a robust van for companies or a large capacity comfortable passenger car - customers can choose between three bodywork styles.

In addition, the new Vivaro color palette includes 11 standard colors, five of which are uni-paint, and six metallic double layers. Other specific colors will be available right from the start, for special-purpose vehicles. Thus, customers can order the new Vivaro in the shade perfectly adapted to their needs, trade and business.

The model is equipped with new turbo diesel engines: a 1.6 CDTI unit, as well as an advanced 1.6 CDTI BiTurbo engine with two sequential turbochargers and two intercoolers. Being fed by two turbochargers acting in tandem, this engine provides excellent performance together with low fuel consumption.

The combined fuel consumption of the new turbo-charged diesel units is reduced by more than 1 l, and in the case BiTurbo engine, the consumption drops below 6 l/100 km (as shown by preliminary data).

Thus, the new generation of the successful Opel model is characterized by the best value in its class.

The diversified range of the new Opel models is manufactured mainly in the Luton plant in the United Kingdom.

Different versions of the best-selling light commercial Opel / Vauxhall vehicle, developed with Renault, have rolled off the factory assembly line ever since 2001. So far, about 600,000 units have been produced.

In 2009, within the factory a vehicle conversion center for special versions such as crew van and dropside was opened, which will extend its production with the new Vivaro generation. This way, customers can benefit right from the factory from the many conversions of the new Vivaro, expanding the scope of its use to very specific professional applications.
