The New 2013 Lexus LS model Range
|   Saturday, August 25, 2012
Lexus has been trying to dominate the luxury car segment for years, with it's many designs and models offering the most prestigious of designs and luxurious of features. After 11 years of trying it has finally slid up to number 3 in the luxury segment right behind BMW and Mercedes. Soon it is expected to become more equal the two with it's ne LS models. The new spindled shaped grill has truly become an attractive addition to the vehicle and is being featured in all of the leading vehicles of Lexus including the GS, LS and ES series.

In many ways the cars are all similar and share the same grille and auto touch remote navigation system but the LS is much more than just a sibling in the range.. The LS series of the car is more of a bar setter for it's younger siblings and is truly worthy to be a flagship for the great Luxury brand. The new Spindle shaped grill has made the LS much more aggressive and it doesn't end in the front of the car. The shape reappears in the back slightly visible with its bangle butt. Still the LS design has really revolutionized the Lexus Line up and has made the car much more interesting. Before the car was considered a real bore, with not much of a sporty look the market today demands more than ever.

There are now seven variations in the LS line up starting from the LS460 which has 117inch wheelbase in the rear. The LS460 is equipped with a 4.6 liter V8 engine that gives 347 horse power to the driver to have fun with. The eight-speed transmission much like the one in previous models still gives the car an impressive 344 pound feet torque and can easily take the from 0-60 in 5.7 seconds.

With all that power and performance in the engine what really makes a Lexus is the luxurious interior. Along with leather seats and many analog gauges, the Lexus interior is equipped with 12.1 inch screen that simply makes you feel like you have the power of control right there in your dashboard. The screen is programmed to offer any feture you could expect from a luxury from basic music playing features to internet connected navigation system. This special screen has a mouse like touch control system which is quite rare in any of the LS competing cars.

There's more the interior climate control system not only allows you to adjust the cooling and heating unit but can also control which of the four seats you individually wish to cool and heat as per the passenger's preferences. That's what a Lexus is all about, controlling each and every aspect of the car to you personal liking. Of course of the screen system ever did break down there is always the analog back system that allows you to adjust and program the audio system by a knob. The new LS series is yet to beat the competing cars of BMW and Mercedes but has definitely surpassed the options and features of any other luxury brand including Audi and Volvo.
