The New 1,000 Horsepower Hennessey Camaro ZL1 Set To Exorcise All Demons
|   Thursday, May 04, 2017
In anticipation of the future Dodge Challenger SRT Demon that will be the most potent series muscle car in history, Hennessey Performance workshop prepared a surprise called "The Exorcist"! The Exorcist is meant to cast out demons from the future Dodge Challenger SRT Demon! And it will not do with the a cross, but through sheer power, lots and lots of it.

Based on the new Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, "The Exorcist" comes with the LT4 V8 engine with a displacement of 6.
liters, substantially altered, which received a larger mechanical compressor, modified cylinder heads, improved intake and exhaust systems, recalibrated block control, and as a novelty, custom engine management. As a result, at a pressure of about one bar, the power jumps from 659 hp to 1,014 hp, while the torque rises from 881 Nm to 1350 Nm!

Modifying costs 55,000 dollars and includes a sticker with "The Exorcist" on the sides and a guarantee for two years or 24,000 miles (38,624 km).
The optional package, Drag Pack, is offered (8,995 dollars), which includes a reinforced universal joint shaft and a pair of 20-inch wheels shod in Nitto tires intended for drag racing, sized 315 / 30-20, but also a set of tools, like a hydraulic jack to change the rear wheels.

With this optional kit, "The Exorcist" can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km / h) in less than 3 seconds and will be able to move one-quarter mile (402 m) in less than 10 seconds!

All these modifications can be applied to both the manual gearbox version with 6 speeds and the automatic gearbox version with 10 steps. For this purpose, the latter will be amended to support the extra power, and the modification will cost another 9,950 dollars.

For diabolical racing, Hennessey offers a package for races for just at 6,995 dollars including a full set of lightweight 20-inch Hennessey rims and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

People interested in purchasing the new Exorcist have some preferential treatment: it can be obtained from a dealer or send the new purchased Camaro ZL1 for conversion. It costs 55,000 dollars on top of the money spent on the Camaro ZL1, another 63,435 dollar, an amount which includes almost all possible charges.

John Hennessey, company founder and president, declared that, "Equipped with rear drag radial tires, The Exorcist will deliver 0 - 60 mph times under 3 seconds while running the ¼ mile in less than 10 seconds. However, The Exorcist is not just a ¼ mile racer. It's a well-rounded super muscle car that is just as happy on a road course as it is on the drag strip and street. Needless to say, this will leave the competition's heads spinning."

Hennessey intends to make only 100 Exorcist units per year. That is by no means a lot of cars, but it should prove sufficient enough to prompt Dodge Demon buyers to be careful of sudden exorcisms performed at dragstrips as well as road courses all over the U.S.
