The Motor Show held in Chengdu Showed China\'s Test in Cars
|   Friday, September 28, 2012
The Chengdu Motor Show is one great event in the world of automobile exhibitions is nothing less valuable than any other auto shows around the world. Continuing to its 15th year the Chengdu Motor Show is likely one of the best Asian motor shows which was held in August 2012.

Chengdu is one of a popular city in Western China which is also a communication, transportation and economic center. Being the capital of Sichuan Province Chengdu hosted the Motor Show from 31st August 2012 to 9th September 2012.
A total of almost 420 different domestic and foreign exhibitors were exhibited in the show.

Unlike other auto shows the Chengdu Motor Show is different. The New International Conventional and Exposition Centre conducted the show and more than five Lacs people were present during the ten day show. It is accounted that seventy six hundred vehicles were sold also including 400 plus luxury cars. There was an accommodation for more than 1000 cars with 87 different brands. 130000 meter square of area was occupied by the vehicles in display and more than 40 new cars made debut.

The 15th Chengdu Motor Show is rumored to be a more skin show than a car show. Reports say that most of the peoples who visited the show were not interested in the vehicles. They rather attended the show to see the models showing their half-naked body.

Some people criticize that most visitors were there not for the car models but to see the female models standing next to the vehicles wearing almost nothing. Despite all the critics the number of cars sold during the show proves that the prior attraction were the cars in the show, and as for the booming music and the ladies next to the cars was an attempt to keep the show from not getting too much boring. The brands like Ferrari, Porsche, Bentley, Rolls-Royals and Lamborghini were the show stealers.

The vehicles mostly driven in China were displayed in the Show. The local buyers like to buy the domestic brands such as JAC. The company makes vehicles which look like C1 from Citroen which is much lower in price near about four hundred pounds. But the locals say that as cheap the cars are to buy the maintenance is that much expensive.

Low price means cheap products to manufacture. So the regular maintenance and repair is obvious. One of that type of cheap to buy and costly to maintain was QQ Chery Ageing. But the foreign car that sold the most was the Jetta from VW. It is mostly famous in the roads of China especially to the taxi drivers. The car cost about 7500 pounds and it is fuel economic. The European cars from BMW, Jeep, Opel and Citroen also got stands for display. The JLR and recent local brand Volvo got gigantic stands to display. The Show was a great success and China Showed they can accept new and old together side by side.
