Car has become an essential part of our daily life in this urbanized world today. But very few of us think or care about the safety measures associated with the vehicles. Most of the times People worries about the mileage and top speed and many more. But a Big thanks to Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, because they are the ones who classifies the safety measures of the various car models available in the market. Recently 12 Car models passed the car crash test.
IIHS has assessed various cars and after a proper evaluation, they have selected 12 cars among them the Honda Civic 2013 coupe and sedan got the highest rating.

Followed by Honda, there was 2013 Hyundai Elantra, 2013 Dodge Dart and many more to hold good position. And these vehicles were honored to be in the list of top vehicles with safety pick plus measures. But the cars that received some awful ratings are, Kia Forte and Nissan Sentra. The reason why Sentra could suffer, due to the powerful levels of the interference inside the cabin. On the other hand the Forte had number of issues for which they could not do well at all. First of all there were some serious issues related to the structural design and pattern of the car. During the car crash test the dummy inside the car did not get protection from the airbag. Instead, it just slipped off and the head hit the windshield and the instrument cabin. This happened due to the excessive slack in the seatbelt. The Honda Civic is one of the top-selling small car models of the U.S.A. The Civic car models are mainly made by Honda, located in Tokyo. These car models did score well as per the institute's expectation. Honda was careful enough to design the car, and as a result the vehicles are capable of bearing the car crash. After the car crash test, it is seen that there are high chances of the driver to survive even after the great crash. IIHS is known for their excellence in car crash testing service and the activity started from the last year. The test is technically correct and the small scale overlap test is almost near to the on road accident that takes place. All the cars which receives good ratings in the test, gets the badge of Top safety plus car tag. In the latest car crash test conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway safety, total 6 compact sedan coupes were honored with the top safety pick plus title. Apart from Honda, in the Frankfurt Motor Show, The GM reveals about its pickups and on the other hand Toyota debuts the Hybrid-R concept.
