|   Sunday, May 27, 2012
The latest happenings with the GM is so much in the news today with the investigation by the NHTSA because of some recent complaints in the new 2012 model of the Cruze. Many a cars has been brought back to analyze the reason behind the unnecessary flame bursting. Also this is one of the most published auto news today which is discussed by many.

Alan Adler (GM's spokesperson) had reveled in the media yesterday that there are total of 370,000 vehicles which are currently under investigation.
Alder also said that the GM has answered the request by the NHTSA which asks for the figures from the makers. 10 of total 12 questions are answered by the GM of the letter sent by NHTSA and also leaning on the rest two. Although there is no such news on the website of NHTSA confirming this news.

Moreover Alder adds up that the GM is investigating this and till now there has been no report of any injury or accidents from fire. He said everything is going on perfect now and they are waiting to hear up from NHTSA soon. Although he kept his mouth shut on commenting forward on the investigation.

The investigation of NHTSA like this can very soon results in the summing up of the vehicles. These investigations are because of various complaints against all the new Cruze in the recent past. It is just a case of last month when a driver complaint to NHTSA that while driving at a very decent speed of about 45 miles per hour, the flames burst of the car and quickly the fire keep on raising. Although there were no injuries to the drivers as he moved out quickly off the car and then the fire department handles the situation.

This is not a very good happenings for the Chevrolet and therefore they are planning to bring about all the cars back to the investigation which were sold this year. There are about 18,205 Cruze sold by the GM in the past month and total of about 75,288 were sold in this year. According to the Automotive News Data Center, this ratio has been effected as there was a 28 percent sell short down in April comparing to last year and about 77 cars being sold short till now in the same period.

There is also a report that GM is planning 4,304 Eco cars to be investigated in which a module responsible for the operations of air bag may not be safe which were sold in the United States. GM said although there is not a big problem with this but might be a very minor in case of aggressive drifting. Also the GM promised to overcome this problem soon and which should not be repeated from the next year.

GM ensures their customers that the driving is safe as there has been many tests done on different extreme situations. Also a mail will be sent to the car owner to provide him the necessary details to get his car reprogrammed for free on June 1st.
