The 770 Horses On The Lamborghini Centenario LP770-4
|   Tuesday, March 01, 2016
A while ago CEO Stephan Winkelmann declared in an exclusive interview for Auto Express that "We will unveil a car in Geneva. In terms of renderings, it is known to the customers already. It is a car which is covering the best balance between tradition and innovation because we are speaking about performance, design, weight, aerodynamics and also the chassis in terms of adaptability control. You are familiar with our one-offs – it will be something like this, a coupe bodystyle.
And it will initiate the celebration of the 100 years."

With regards to the price tag, Winkelmann said it will be expensive but that it was "in the environment of what we have done before". He continued saying that "It is a car for collectors and lovers of the brand and also for those who want to drive it, too." Well, now we know what he was talking about.

The Lamborghini Centenario is set to be the new definition of hypercar. Eventually, after some time since first hearing news about this anniversary model, the time has come to find official information regarding the Lamborghini Centenario LP770-4 model.

As said by representatives of the Italian manufacturer, the hypercar will make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show, an event that will take place in the first half of March. Given the enthusiasm with which this news was received, it is clear that the model will be one of the highlights this year in Geneva.

The Lamborghini Centenario LP770-4 is presented by the Italian producers as "the most advanced definition of hypercar". Its idea started from the desire of the Italians to celebrate the hundred years passed since the birth of the brand's founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini.

The model will be built in a limited exclusive edition, only 40 copies. Lamborghini Centenario LP770-4 is based on the model Aventador, while benefiting from a highly sporty and aggressive appearance.

The Italian manufacturer's representatives have promised in this sense a unique design, while the engineers at Sant'Agata Bolognese have been concentrated on using extremely lightweight materials to manage a total weight which allows some performance figures that everyone can admire.
The new Lamborghini Centenario LP770-4 comes with a V12 engine unit with a displacement of 6.5 liters, capable of developing no less than 770 horsepower. It will benefit from an all-wheel drive, while the engine will be mated to an ISR with seven reports.

With such technical equipment the performance of which we speak is downright breathtaking even for the most demanding automotive enthusiasts. The maximum speed that can be reached by the Lamborghini Centenario LP770-4 will most likely be able to break the 350 km / h limit, while acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is done in just 2.7 seconds.

As already mentioned, the production will be limited to only 40 copies, half of which will be roadster versions. Given the exclusivity enjoyed by the Lamborghini Centenario LP770-4 it will have a starting price of about 2.2 million euros.
Even so, all 40 examples built by the Italian manufacturer have been pre-ordered even before this information was made public.
