The 2013 Ferrari F150 set to be showcased fall Spring
|   Wednesday, November 21, 2012
The all new Ferrari Enzo has been showcased and this little maniac flagship from Ferrari weighs as low as 1100 kg which packing in close to 800 BHP of raw power. This will be the closest Ferrari has ever gone into making a road ready version of a track car and this vehicle has been code named the F 150. The Enzo is expected to make its official debut fall Spring 2013 and the hype revolving round the vehicle is expanding daily.

The new Ferrari F150 has massive use of carbon fiber as compared to the upcoming McLaren P1 and driving this vehicle will give the customers a greater idea behind the working of an F1 car from Ferrari.
The final price of the F 150 has not been announced as of date but speculators claim that the vehicle could be priced close to 800,000 Pounds. The F 150 closely resembles the 2005 Enzo Concept FXX but has its roots based on the 2007 Millechili technical concept.

The 2007 project was based on a 1000 kg research mission which was conducted especially to commemorate the 60th birth anniversary of Ferrari. The F 150 is designed around a compact carbon fiber design weighing 20 percent lesser than the previous generation Enzo. The F 150 is a hybrid, drawing power from a supercharged V12 engine along with a lithium ion battery run electric motor. The Enzo is powered by a 6.3 liter V12 produces 731 BHP, same as that on the Ferrari F12.

However, a modified version of the V12 is expected on the F 150 and it is expected to produce close to 750 BHP. The electric motor on the other side should be able to produce 100 BHP and 200 ft lb of torque. Hence, the overall power production is set to be on a rise. However, the F 150 will not be able to run solely on the electric motor although the Hy-KERS hybrid technology implied on the vehicle will introduce a power boost hence reducing 10 percent of the current time required to reach the 60 MPH mark.

Moreover, the engine used on the F 150 is expected to reduce CO2 emission by close to 40 percent and as a result the F 150 will be a cleaner and more powerful vehicle. The race car styled exterior of the vehicle also continues to the interior and the driver seating position has been adjusted to give a more relaxed but the aggressive feel of the road when the F 150 is in motion. The adjustable pedal box and steering benefit the driver as well.

An uncompromised monocoque design keeps the overall weight of the F 150 in check and this has reduced 90 kg from the current Ferrari Enzo. The counterbalance of the vehicle is quite amazing as the engine has been placed very near the center of the F 150. The batteries have also been placed behind the driver and this further improves the overall dynamics.
