The Buick Regal is a classic example of a car leading by example in terms of sales. The Regal has managed to outperform the Audi A4, Acura TSX and the Lexus IS 250 is terms of overall performance and sales in the first quarter of 2012.

The all new 2013 Buick Regal is set to be launched and this car features an automatic transmission among other improved features. Also the 2013 model features an added eAssist technology that saves up on fuel consumption.

The 2013 Buick Regal has already won accolades from leading news magazines and auto experts for being the best midsized family car in the segment and it surely looks to be the best car money can buy at this price point.

The midsized car of the year had 14 contenders vying for the top spot and the Buick Regal managed to take home the biggest slice of the cake due to its marvelous engineering and designing.

The 2013 Regal features the best engine in North America – till date – and the 2.0 L turbocharged Ecotec produces a hefty 270 HP. The car features an innovative dual transmission and an additional six speed automated driver assistance system is also available as a standard on the vehicle.

The Buick Regal GS still offers a six speed manual transmission system for the real driving enthusiasts and hence, Buick offers driver centric cars for its customers. Now the addition of an automatic transmission along with the option of a manual is just poised to make the deal even better.

The Aisin AF 40 is described as Buick's most aggressive sedan and the Regal GS takes technological cues from this vehicle. The Regal has an advanced drive control mode which can change the drive train settings according to the requirements of the driver.

The car has an innovative GS mode which delivers firmer gear shifts and enhances acceleration and drive ability. The car accelerates from 0 – 60 mph is less than 6 seconds and has fuel consumption figures of around 19 miles per gallon in city conditions and 27 miles per gallon on the highway.
Buick also uses its innovative HiPer Strut suspension for the front of the vehicle and Brembo brake calipers are also standard on all Buick Regal models. The 2012 Regal is one of the hottest selling cars on the block, according to a leading insurance company and this is mainly due to its city drive ability, handling and low maintenance and running costs.

The current 2.4 L base model of the Regal GS is set to be discontinued once the 2013 models hit the market however the Regal Turbo is set to be available. The Regal has the presence of a lithium ion battery to assist performance at optimum speeds and this is the key to low running costs.
With the eAssist motor running, the 2013 Regal returns mileage of close to 36 miles per gallon which is more than what many of the class leading hybrids do. Fall 2013, the Regal is set to capture a huge chunk in the market with sales figures.
