Suzuki and Porsche Announce Their Latest Products
|   Wednesday, July 17, 2013
Suzuki has unveiled the latest images of the Swift 4 x 4 which is set to head into showrooms by the end of the month. Priced at £11,516 for the base model of the vehicle, the pricing rises to £13,116 for the top of the line SZ4 model although the vehicle has just one engine option on the line at the moment. The price difference is caused due to the trim level and this makes the car fairly performance friendly.

The Suzuki Swift was always known for its performance friendly character and the 4 x 4 is expected to retain that name.
The vehicle is powered by a 1.2 liter petrol engine mated to a six speed manual transmission system. Suzuki claims that the Swift 4 x 4 still retains its ability to corner fast and effectively, a claim which is yet to be tested on the track, although on road tests have proved to be quite successful.

The Swift 4 x 4 is however heavier than the Two Wheel Drive model by 65 kg and is also less environment friendly. Although both the SZ3 and the SZ4 look the same, minor performance updates are quite apparent. The torque generated by the engine is sufficiently large to power the vehicle although it may not be as responsive as its predecessor owing to the weight gain.

Suzuki will be launching the three door version of the Swift initially followed by the five door version and Europe seems to be a practical market for the launch as the car was originally designed to sell in European countries. However, markets in Asia and the Middle East will also be getting this vehicle soon, insiders claim.

Porsche confirms that they will be launching the 911 GT3 at the Good Wood Festival of Speed, expected to be held this September. The 911 GT3 is powered by a 3.8 liter petrol engine and is capable of hitting a top speed of 196 MPH. This is a Special Edition vehicle from Porsche, designed to celebrate the company's 50 years in the business.

Good Wood Festival of Speed is the perfect launch platform for this vehicle and all seven generations of the 911 will be showcased at the event. This is set to be a grand event for the people associated with motor sports as this showcases the heritage of Porsche, a sports car genius. The 911 GT3 has been spied previously on many occasions and this is hence a grand event. Porsche has grand plans set up for the event which is currently under wraps.

This is a highly anticipated event and people from every part of the world will be present to witness this grand ceremony. The Good Wood Festival of Speed caters to a long list of guests every year and this year is all that more special due to Porsche. Industry insiders are also quite impatient with what Porsche has on its mind and the public will be taken into the event as soon as the gates open.
