Story behind the 2014 Porsche Le Man's Spyder 918, Failing on Track
|   Wednesday, June 18, 2014
Porsche claim that their vehicle, which pounded around the Le Man's track this weekend, is unlike most of their other vehicles. This vehicle is designed for being low and ground hugging, unlike most other SUV like platforms that they have used, on previous accounts.

As demand for their 911 platform increases, Porsche deemed it fit, to upgrade their already popular platform and use it on track. The vehicle had a lot of potential initially, even as, it failed to complete 24 hours on track, due to technical glitches, which forced it to quit, two hours before the checkered flag was to be waived.

When German brands continue focusing on performance, Porsche has taken the first step into developing aerodynamic upgrades and equally important technology. Porsche is hell bent on restoring its former glory, as a sports car manufacturer, which should go a long way, in helping them figure out new technologies.
