Spyker Showcasing the B6 Venetor at the Geneva Motor Show
|   Friday, March 15, 2013
The Spyker B6 Venetor Concept is a two seated Concept vehicle showcased at the Geneva Motor Show this week and is powered by a mainstream V6 engine. This vehicle has been designed to take on the much celebrated Porsche 911 GT although ground tests have not been performed to corroborate this claim. The concept weighs 1400 kg and that is quite light considering the performance of this machine.

The overall dry weight of the B6 Venetor is similar to the smaller Porsche Cayman and this is mainly attributed to the use of lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber on the B6.
The chassis is composed of lightweight aluminum while most of the body components and panels are composed of carbon fiber. The B6 Venetor has been designed, keeping in mind Spyker's aviation history and the lightweight aluminum chassis is also the result of the advanced aeronautical engineering by the engineers.

The propeller styled wheels along with the 3D based designs also enhance the overall look of the vehicle. The highly aerodynamic design of the also enhance performance and this aims at minimizing the drag coefficient of the vehicle. The B6 Venetor has its share of history as well. Venetor actually means Hunter, which was the name of the first lightweight aircraft designed by Spyker back in the 20th Century.

The parts are composed of materials used extensively to design aircrafts and they have been created using high levels of skill and determination. The Spyker B6 Venetor is the perfect example of 21st Century technology fused with craftsmanship and dedication. The engineering and designing team at Spyker consists of a bunch of dedicated professionals who aim at creating a modern vehicle.

Spyker on the other hand wants to upgrade their current lineup of vehicles using modern technology and apart from the Porsche 911 rivaling B6 Venetor Spyker wants to collaborate with Youngman - their Chinese partner – to design and develop an Aston Martin DB8 rivaling coupe. The production version of the vehicle could be priced around $200,000 and Spyker is expecting the vehicle to be up for sale by early 2016.

The vehicle could displace 400 BHP and is expected to be powered by a 4.2 liter V8 developed along with Audi. The future of Spyker cars lies in the segment displacing 500 BHP and all the engines are expected to be assisted by an electric motor. This is set to enhance performance while improving overall fuel efficiency and CO2 emission.

Spyker is very particular about its creations and the engineering team is constantly working to design and develop better and more efficient models. The engines are expected to be supercharged and this would mean more power even for street legal vehicles. Spyker is gearing up to stand back up on its feet and the new fleet of vehicles powered by new engines could be the probable answer to Spyker's glorious future in the world of mainstream automobile manufacture. As of now, they have a few surprises listed up for Geneva.
