Spying Honda's 2016 Accord was never easy; but it's done!

Unfortunately the mid-sized coupes are getting vanished from current market and new styles are preferred more. But Honda decided to stick with their mid-sized coupe Accord which now got confirmed after getting few spy images of it. This will be a two door model and is selected as one of top ten best cars for this year.

Accord has been a pillar for the brand Honda, but due to decrease in interest in mid-sized coupes over the years, it has not been renewed for a while.
Last it was redesigned in 2013 for which Honda decides it is the time to do it once again. Accord has been one of the main reasons of Honda's success over the years. According to the spied images of 2016 Accord, few speculations have been made by few experts regarding its exterior looks and most important updates.

The upcoming Accord Coupe is going to have the same platform as it has now which is shared with sedans. It will ride on a new wheelbase which has 2 inches shorter than current. However, its overall length is increased by 2.2 inches. Among other important updates, there is brand new grille, bumpers, tail lamps and headlights as well. The new grille does not look similar to that of sedan anymore. It has now chrome-band spanning grille's width. Coupe's chrome look looks much slimmer punctuated by air inlet. Its lower intake turned narrower running across entire bumper.

The whole look has now got sleeker, installing multi element headlamps and bringing other changes in designs. The main objective of such a design seems like designers want to give it a lovable look for it having a longer width. Its license plate has a wider surround this time making a full width crease pronounced with bracket shaped parts at edges with a few redesigned lights.

The 2016 Accord will offer two types of body styles; both of them will have four cylinders bringing no change to previous powertrain. However, it will be now powered with V6 and a new Accord Coupe badge at its back. Engine details are still not confirmed but it seems to replace the current configuration of 3.5 liters V6 and use directly injected version which is there in 2016 Pilot technology. Pilot crossovers normally offer 280 hp, 262 lb ft torque, paired with nine speeds auto transmission. Honda may also apply a slick shift manual gearbox to it which rarely any model offers. If Honda goes for it then 2016 Accord will offer 2.4 liters with V6 along with CVT automatic function of four cylinders ability as well.

It will be very early if you expect Honda to announce any hint of 2016 Accord's price or release date within near future. However, approximate estimations conclude that it is going to arrive during this fall in showrooms. Prices don't look to hike a lot but for the updates it will cost a little higher and should range between $24, 595 and $33,370 which is only a few dollars more than current Accord.
