Spy Images of the 2015 Mini Clubman Revealed
|   Tuesday, November 19, 2013
Mini has confirmed plans to shift its current Clubman to a larger wheel base and platform from its next generation model. Spy images of a proto type have leaked during tests and this confirms a larger wheel base on which the car was placed. This is one of three models set for launch later in 2014 and BMW confirmed that they will be launching three and five door convertibles this week.

The current variant of the Clubman has a 2 + 1 seating arrangement while its rear doors are hinged.
The new convertible on the other hand has integrated seats for rear passengers as well. This will increase passenger carrying capacity of the Clubman as well as interior space. This vehicle is based on the UKL1 platform which Mini plans on using on every future model.

Wheelbase difference is hence significantly noted while a larger wheel base increases stability. Larger estate model could also be on the cards soon. The spy image clearly showcases the large base diameter of this vehicle and this is larger than BMW's current generation 3 Series. This vehicle comes in a standard five door format while a three door model is also available. Mini is aiming to make this vehicle suitable for family use. Hence, a three door format for all models would have been inconvenient.

Mini is looking forward to generating a larger and more passenger friendly lineup, even though they originally surfaced as off road geniuses. The latest breed of vehicles is equally adept to driving on and off road and this as a result makes them quite popular with people across all age groups.

A soft top and hard top version of its five door vehicle is up for launch soon and we are quite impatient as we expect to get out hands on a proto type soon. Fashionable super minis are in vogue and no one defines class better than Mini. This vehicle lends a specific sense of style and class to its owners and Mini has managed to keep customers happy with this vehicle.

We are yet to receive details of it is interior although we are quite sure what to expect from Mini as the company has not actually overhauled its interior within the past few years and no news of an overhaul has come in so far. Standard equipment should include air conditioning, an advanced sound system, heated seats and standard leather upholstery on all variants. Mini defines class and there is no better way to do it.

Mini however added a range of high end gadgets to its vehicles over the years and these put on additional weight. The current breed has managed to cut off weight by a huge margin while we expect better facilities from this vehicle. Mini plans on launching the 20-15 five door Clubman by early next year while its convertible version will be available mid 2014. We expect this vehicle to be available at the Paris Motor Show in September 2014 and hopes are high from this build.
