The Mercedes Benz has S Class Pullman has just been spied testing at an undisclosed location. It is rumored that Mercedes Benz is planning on launching six different vehicles in the S Class this time. The list includes an all new Pullman limousine which is expected to hit the market fall 2015. The term Pullman was originally borrowed from the luxurious railway carriages with the same name during the early part of the previous century.

The coaches were built by the Pullman Company based in America and these coaches often had luxurious bedding and dining facilities.
Although Mercedes Benz has offered Pullman vehicles in the past as well, the S Class Pullman is getting more attention than its predecessors ever did. This was mainly as they were never built for the mass market. In fact some of these models were built on special order only.

However, Mercedes Benz now plans on mass producing the Pullman and this is expected to replace the Maybach 62 and Maybach 57 sedans. Maybach is currently out of business and Mercedes Benz plans on manufacturing luxury sedans and limousines under its own brand name in order to attract the customers. This will be a huge addition and attraction of the executive premium class sedans and the use of the S Class badge ensure high quality, luxury and price tag.

The Pullman is expected to be eight inches longer than any traditional vehicle we have today and an additional window posting along with doors will be added to the vehicle. The cars were initially meant to offer more cabin space although the six seated structure is more common nowadays than it was previously. However, the major concern plaguing Mercedes Benz at the moment is refinement as well as fuel efficiency as it is a major concern of the modern customers.

Mercedes Benz plans on attracting both the high class businessmen and top company officials with the S Class Pullman and this vehicle is designed exclusively for the people adept to chauffeur driven vehicles. Some unique treatments are expected on the Pullman in order to differentiate it from its other cousins and these may include a redesigned exterior such as a new chrome grille, side panels, wheels and rims.

However, the major attraction behind this vehicle is its twin turbo charged V8 and V12 engine choices in the 5.5 liter range. Mercedes Benz is also considering a hybrid for the S550 model. However, this vehicle will not sport the AMG badge. Apart from a redesigned and efficient drive train, the 2014 S Class will also benefit from a new line of technology and engineering.

Overall, the next generation S Class Pullman is sure to be a huge hit with the elite class of the society. Although final prices have not been disclosed, experts believe that the range should start from an approximate $379,000, the same as the Maybach 57 while the company was still operational. Key rivals to the Pullman should be the Rolls Royce Ghost and the Bentley Flying Spur.
