Spy Images of an XF Based Jaguar Revealed
|   Saturday, August 31, 2013
Jaguar prototypes have been spied testing in Sweden for some time now and the latest images of a vehicle testing have surfaced recently. This is expected to be the newest baby Jaguar in the lineup and is set to be a compact, light weight automobile that people could use for daily commuting. Jaguar is expected to be busy designing vehicles along a wide variety of body types and coupes and sedans are the most viable options that Jaguar has at the moment.

A list of vehicles is expected to spawn out of Jaguar's stables within the next few months and the spied vehicle looks like a miniature coupe. However, the new lineup will not be a threat to the already established Audi A4 or the BMW 3 Series vehicles as the vehicles from Jaguar will be a different league altogether.

The light weight vehicle is also expected to run on a super frugal, four cylindered engine with cutting edge technology. Jaguar is planning to rival the German car makers in their own game and this lineup could very well be the prologue of what lies ahead. The junior range of vehicles is based on the Jaguar XF and the XJ series and this will eventually allow jaguar to reduce 60 percent of the additional costs.

This will benefit the customers on the long run and Jaguar intends on using the light weight Premium Lightweight Architecture platform on the future vehicles. The PLA platform made its official debut, replacing the heavier and stouter Mk4 and this could be officially inducted by Jaguar as well. The PLA platform is used to develop the current Range Rover Sport, productions of which are currently on.

The model spied testing resembles the XF and this could be the very first vehicle to be showcased in the near future. Jaguar has not made any official comments or declarations as of yet and hence it is difficult to confirm reports as of yet. The basic assumptions have been made by the experts and at first glance, the tracks on the vehicle looks narrower than that on its predecessor.

The exterior features minor changes and the radiator has been pushed back by a certain margin to give the vehicle a characteristic appeal. The body may get ill fitting door handles but the overall look of the vehicle is appealing. Jaguar is all set to innovate and renovate its lineup and this vehicle could be the first one in the lineup to spark a trend.

Jaguar has plans to launch a new lineup of vehicles starting with the still unnamed machine and guessing by the look on the vehicle, it could be showcased officially by the Frankfurt Motor Show. Jaguar plans on developing estates, cabriolets, sedans, coupes and hatch backs on a limited number of platforms and the basic mechanical components and parts along with engine components should be the same. This could mean heavy cut offs in pricing on the final product which would definitely attract potential buyers.
