Sporty and daring: 2014 Ford Escape
|   Monday, September 16, 2013
The latest Ford Escape, planned to be launched at the beginning of 2014, is one of the best equipped Ford model. Featuring a new and improved backup camera and intelligent foot activated power tailgate, the 2014 Ford Escape is going to include the efficient and active Titanium EcoBoost trim.

Also equipped with an enormous moonroof and a totally changed wheel design, the 2014 Ford Escape, unlike the 2013 one, will have a lean, proportioned body complimented by a pair of plastic fenders as sills.
So, everyone should be happy the Escape has finally got rid of that rigid, boxy appearance.

We must admit that the upcoming Escape model is not only impressive through the exterior look but also through the latest generation technology which has been used to design all the features under the hood. For instance, it features no less than three engines and also a twin clutch automatic.

The announced features will definitely make this vehicle a real blast on the market as it certainly is one of the best choice in its price range.
One of the main competitors of the latest escape is the Mazda CX-5 but it is quite likely not be able to reach the performance promised by Ford.

On the inside, the space has increased and the cabin has received a very contemporary makeover also with the adding of several types of high tech equipment such as: Bluetooth calls, onboard media and entertainment options or SYNC voice activation. Another welcomes enhancement is the backup camera which offers a visibility plus especially thought for those claiming that the previous escape did not have enough rear visibility.

No clear performance figures have been released so far but rumor has it the vehicle will feature a 1.6 liter EcoBoost engine being able to produce 240 horsepower and run by six speed automatic. Also, the dual clutch transmission that has been firstly included on a 2011 Ford Focus, will also be featured by this latest vehicle.

Another competitor of the 2014 Ford Escape might actually be the Nissan rogue which has just been revealed and has an incredibly fresh and sharp appearance. Ford fans should know that the LEDs featured by Rogue are a bit more spectacular that those which have been added to the 2014 Ford Escape – this could actually be an issue as the Nissan also has headlights with LED low beams.

No need to reveal the already famous ford strategy of firstly introducing the new model on the American market – this is most likely to happen with the 2014 Ford Escape which has been designed according to the American market demands and according to results of tests run on the American auto market.

Already famous enough, the 2014 Ford Escape will be available with a starting price of $23,000 but, depending on the engine performance and options, it could also reach $32,000. The other version, Escape Titanium is also a great variant for those interested in a more impressive crossover.
