|   Tuesday, July 22, 2014
This is the 40th year anniversary of Porsche 911 Turbo, and to commemorate this milestone, Porsche has decided to build 40 special edition 911 Turbo, and has been named as 2014 911 Turbo S GB, as it has been built especially for United Kingdom. Only 40 models of this special edition car have been manufactured.

It is already up for ownership as it has completed production phase. The car is at Porsche's standard 150,000 GBP mark, costing 237 GBP more.
There are some additional things that are going to come with the special edition car, including a car cover and a photo album that contains some snapshots of the car in manufacturing process and some initial design sketches as well. Then there is a leather key pouch and personalized door cover as well.

This car has been built as a celebration o f 40th anniversary of Porsche 911 Turbo, and has been built heavily inspired by the original 930. There are, however, some special touches here and there that render this model unique. Some body work and a few added details help in maintaining aesthetic feel while providing a modern perspective to it.

Black seems to be the color for Porsche. It looks great in all black, and no matter how much they use black, it never seems to be overdone. On this special edition car also, there is a rear black spoiler, Sports Classic 20 inch alloy wheels, again in black, door handles also finished in black, and a cherry on top, Porsche label on sills done in black.
Even inside the special edition 911 Turbo S GB, everything seems to be done in black. Interior has been done in beautiful leather upholstery, all in black. It is hand stitched with great finishing and also includes some special touches. There are Union Jack logos done up on center compartment and also on the glove box. However, seatbelt has been done in Guards Red, a contrast to the black. Porsche crest adore the headrests in this special edition 2014 911 Turbo S GB.

There are options available on the body color finish, however, and it is not constrained to black. Owners can choose from red, silver or a classy white. Other design elements include bespoke floor mats done with leather and beautifully stitched and optional carbon fiber trim for the inside.

As far as power train is concerned, there have been no changes. There is still a six cylinder twin-turbo engine with a capacity of 3.8 liters. It is still rear mounted and capable of providing 560 hp. Along with that the transmission also remains same as before. It can reach speeds of 62 miles per hour from rest in 3.1 seconds. Top speed is limited at 197 miles per hour.

Credits for designing this marvelous sports car go to Porsche Exclusive. Centered at Los Angeles and New York, they have been designing and producing luxury cars for Porsche since 1986 and have been doing so with great consistency.
