Sin Cars GmBH Plans to Showcase its Street Legal R1 Next Month
|   Saturday, December 28, 2013
2014 has some very interesting cars lined up for launch although none of them are as appealing as the latest Sin R1 based street car. This vehicle will make its official debut in January at Autosport International. This vehicle is designed on a joint basis with British supplier ProFormance metals Ltd and Munich based Sin Cars GmBH. It draws power from a Chevrolet built 6.2 liter V8 engine displacing 525 BHP while insiders say it is capable of top speeds near 200 MPH.

This is a complete performance edition vehicle and has been designed as such. It features steady, track focused aerodynamics with a street centric twist. Standard 19 inch rims along with performance braking along with Formula One based fuel tank are its key components. Like its track oriented cousin, it will be showcased at Good Wood 2014.

Construction is based on light weight materials such as an aluminum chassis with reinforced plastic and carbon fiber body structure and could be capable of accelerating from 0 - 60 MPH within 2.5 seconds. A carbon composite tubular chassis, developed on advanced space frame technology is used to design this vehicle, just like its track focused cousin. Weighing close to 1200 kg, it is also 240 kg heavier than the track version.

It is a limited edition vehicle and should sport a price tag of £60,000. Personalization options should be available although insiders are mum about details.
Specifications will be revealed next month along with interior and other important details. We had heard rumors about Sin Cars GmBH coming up with a street legal car, although the R1 was completely unexpected since it was a pure track vehicle when it launched last year.

Each year, a varied list of automobiles is showcased at the Good Wood Festival of Speed and this year promises to be no different. The R1 has swift lines on its exterior along with a smoothened front end, while rear edges are sporty yet mean. The most looked forward to feature however is its power train, which should give this vehicle a high power to weight ratio. Expect high end performance with low fuel efficiency on this vehicle.
