SEAT Launches The New Alhambra Model
|   Tuesday, April 28, 2015
SEAT Alhambra, the Volkswagen Sharan's Spanish brother, received a facelift soon after the restyling applied in the German monocab range. The aesthetic changes were not the only changes performed. These have been associated with a more generous range of equipment and an offer of high efficiency engines by up to 15 percent compared to its predecessor. The MPV with seven seats from Seat is now available with new features for comfort and driver support and a new infotainment system.

From an aesthetic point of view, the Alhambra's facelift brings LED optical blocks, a restyled front grille and new alloy wheels. The interior has new colors for ornaments, the steering wheel is borrowed from the SEAT Leon model, and new commands.

The Alhambra's new multimedia system is called Seat Easy Connect, and is offered in several versions all equipped with high-resolution touch screens and updated processors. In addition, at a safety level the Alhambra has a multi-collision brake system as standard, along with other facilities of this type. Optionally, it can be ordered with elements such as adaptive chassis, massage seats and blind spot monitoring system.

The engine range on the Seat Alhambra is fully compatible with Euro 6 standards. Petrol engines are 2.0-liter units and offer 150 hp or 220 hp. Meanwhile, the offer also includes three diesel units, all 2.0-liter which provide 115 hp, 150 hp or 184 hp. The most fuel efficient of these is the most powerful at the same time and announces a combined consumption of 4.9 liters per 100 km. The 150 hp diesel version can be ordered with all-wheel drive and almost all engines on offer can be chosen with DSG transmission.

The new DSG generation ensures low fuel consumption. As soon as the driver releases the accelerator pedal, the Alhambra runs with the engine disconnected.
A new comfort feature is the keyless entry system and the startup. Equipment versions have been redesigned so that Alhambra will be offered in three versions: Reference, Style and Style Advanced.

Another novelty for the SEAT Alhambra model is the DCC system (Adaptive Chassis Control).
The system adjusts the damper valves within milliseconds, adapting vehicle characteristics to fit perfectly to road conditions for superior comfort and relaxed driving. The new seats equipped with the massage function are an absolute novelty in range and offer an exceptional level of comfort for long distances travel.

SEAT is the only company in the automotive sector which has a full capacity of design, development, production and sale in Spain. A member of the Volkswagen Group, the multinational has its headquarters in Martorell (Barcelona), exporting its cars to 75 countries (over 80 percent of its vehicles). In 2014, SEAT has sold 390,500 units worldwide.

The Spanish also have a Technical Development Center, a true "know how center", which brings together more than 900 engineers whose mission is to be the driving force for the innovations of the largest industrial investor in research, development and innovation in Spain. Regarding the stated commitment to protect the environment, SEAT bases its activities on sustainability criteria, namely reducing CO2 emissions, energy efficiency and recycling and reusing resources.
