|   Thursday, March 05, 2015
The British from Rolls-Royce confirmed plans to build a new model that will be able to go through any terrain effortlessly. The British were reluctant to use the terms "SUV" and "crossover" but it is obvious that the new model will be define by these terms. Therefore we can conclude safely that Rolls-Royce is preparing for the release of its first SUV.

In an open letter to the public, Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes and Peter Schwarzenbauer, the first two people in the company's organization, confirmed the development of a new model that will follow the brand values and will be able to tackle any type of terrain effortlessly.
The whole letter tactfully avoids the terms "SUV" and "crossover". But it becomes pretty obvious what is meant by the officials of the brand when they are talking about a vehicle with a "high body" that can "get over any terrain effortlessly." The motorization is announced to be a completely new, with unique architecture, while the body is made of aluminum.

The new model from Rolls-Royce promises to provide the same level of luxury as any other brand creation and meet all customer expectations. Today the customer lifestyles become more and more active and mobile. Therefore, the British promise that the new model will meet the adventurous spirit of Charles Rolls and the dedication to innovation and engineering that Sir Henry Royce had. Whatever the case, the model promises to make good on brand values to move effortlessly into a luxurious atmosphere.

The Rolls-Royce representatives said they started developing this model after many important customers have requested such a vehicle, so they set the teams of engineers and designers to work to create a new model that was completely different from what the Goodwood brand presented up to now.

Not at all accidentally, in the open letter written by Rolls-Royce officials, the company remembers Lawrence of Arabia and his passion to drive Rolls-Royce car in areas of rugged terrain, and the passionate owners of the brand from Australia, India and in the Americas who have successfully driven cars on grounds that tests the capabilities of their vehicles.

The result of those models forces the brand's current leaders to develop a model able to tackle any terrain in a comfortable manner and ensure reliability in every situation, says the Goodwood company's management.

This announcement puts an end to rumors that were circulating for months, according to which the Rolls-Royce brand will finally launch a new model to compete against Porsche's Cayenne, Mercedes-Benz's G-Wagon Land Rover's Range Rover, and Bentley's Bentayga.
Of all major automakers luxury cars, only Ferrari has stayed without an SUV in its lineup.

Rolls-Royce, which is owned by Germany's BMW, has not specified a release date for the new car. But they did say they decided to make a luxury off-road vehicle after consultation with its customers. The famous British manufacturer sold 4,063 cars last year.

The main rival, Bentley, which is owned by Volkswagen, said it had received 4,000 orders for its Bentayga SUV. This SUV will arrive in showrooms in 2016.
