Reviewing the BMW M5 Competition Pack
|   Wednesday, April 16, 2014
BMW is all set to add a legendary vehicle to its current lineup. The BMW M5 super saloon is here and this vehicle has a list of performance tweaks that provide just the right amount of power boost. Exterior modifications include an all new kidney grille up front, LED lamps close to the head light, various color options, interior trim choices and comfort packs. Power upgrades are mandatory on all variants, along with chassis adjustments.

However, this is part of a single pay package offered by BMW currently.
Competition Package marked vehicles cost an extra £6,700 and come with an added array of options that make life easier. Different variants of BMW's M5 and M6 will receive this option in the near future, although we have recently tested their M5 saloon. Carbon fiber trim will set you back by another cool £7,396, if you are willing to spend that extra amount.

If you are in desperate need of a performance vehicle, with subtle comfort and decent levels of luxury, this is the perfect vehicle for you. Handling is on the steeper side of things, but this can be overlooked once you consider additional features and curb weight for this design. BMW focuses heavily on performance and this is an actual reason to celebrate.

Track testing options have been confirmed by BMW and their official figures were pretty close to what we managed to achieve on track ourselves. However, this vehicle manages to impress both on track and road (where it will spend a major part of its actual life). We are hence quite happy with the product on offer. Stunning and poised, with a mixed sense of monstrous beauty underneath, the BMW M5 Competition Pack is a package designed for winners.

Body control around bends is massive, while straight line performance is out right in class too. While the M5 was a performance monster, this vehicle manages to outdo its younger cousin on every front. Thrills and frills are part of this pack and need to be experienced for maximum fun. All new suspension and damper settings make this vehicle easier to handle and drive on road. If you are willing to make minor modifications, engineers will do it for you.

When you are paying a sum as high as £80,205 for a vehicle, class and perfection are guaranteed. This vehicle will not provide you with a single opportunity to criticize. This is a good point to consider, if you are willing to shell out such a huge amount of cash. Roundabout performance includes acceleration, top speed and breaking ability and this vehicle manages to top all.

If your brakes are as hard as what BMW has on offer, confidence is bounds to soar and you will try out the limits of a car. We were compelled to do exactly this, by the car and need we say we loved it? I guess not! Mercedes Benz's E63 AMG S is the only competitor in class, although BMW is a few steps ahead.
