Renault to Showcase Twin Z and Twinzo Next Month
|   Thursday, April 11, 2013
The Concept Renault Twin Z is set to inspire a new production car by next year known as the Twingo. The Twingo is set to be an all electric super mini and is expected to be a three door version of the Twin Z Concept. This rear wheel driven electric hatchback will be showcased next month and this is set to be a major event in the world of automobiles.

The Twin Z however is a five door hatchback and features an electric engine in place of a combustion motor.
The vehicle is very quick but does not have a very high top speed. The vehicle displaces 67 BHP along with 167 ft lbs of torque while the Twin Z features a top speed of 81 Km/h. The Twin Z weighs a little over 980 kg and the light weight of the vehicle works wonders towards accelerating the car.

The vehicle features abundant interior space considering the size of the machine and the suspension components has been pushed to the side of the car to make way for more interior room. The car has been designed by British designer Ross Love Grow in association with Renault and hence this is a special project. The rims have been supplied by Michelin although the design has been provided by Ross Love Grow.

The car features electronically powered suicide doors to add to the glam quotient and although it does not have enough power to boast off, it surely does pack in enough punch on the aesthetics department. The seats are as thin as possible and this reduces the overall weight of the vehicle. Every part of this vehicle has been designed carefully to keep weight to a bare minimum.

The design team has been fairly successful in doing their job and the Twin Z is a very successful vehicle considering overall aesthetics. The entertainment system inside the vehicle is controlled by a dash board mounted tablet computer and this makes the entertainment system quite advanced in its way. The Twin Z is capable of taking on vehicles from Mini and the Fiat 500. The Twinzo could be the next big name on the block as the vehicle has all the necessary arrangements possible.

This is expected to be a highly successful venture and Renault is confident of its designing prowess, although the first reactions of the public needs to be gauged when the vehicle is formally showcased later next month. Although there has been sufficient hype in the market regarding this vehicle it is not enough to confirm the market trend.

Renault is planning on sending the Twinzo to production real soon and it is expected to hit global markets by early next year. This is a very unique design aimed at the younger generation and the unisex market. However, the speed and performance figures will be insufficient to attract the enthusiastic buyers. Renault will have to come up with a better plan if they want to take a slice from the major players.
