Renault Reveals In Paris The Spectacular Concept Trezor!
|   Friday, October 28, 2016
Renault Trezor is an electric two-seater coupe and is the beginning of a new series of prototypes, which heralds the design lines and on-board technology for future Renault series models. The premiere was at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
Renault has given a style lesson to all car manufacturers through the spectacular concept called Trezor.

The futuristic appearance of the concept is expressed by the proportions of the super-car (length: 4,700 mm, width: 2,180 mm, height: 1,080 mm, wheelbase: 2,776 mm), with a long bonnet, cabin moved back and 21- and 22-inch rims front / rear.
Although it has been used on a lot of concepts, the dome of the roof that rises up looks very spectacular, especially due to the red panoramic window. The cupola reveals the inside and luggage compartment, located in the front.

The bodywork is made of carbon fiber with hexagonal facets, reminiscent of fish scales. This form helps to reduce the aerodynamic coefficient to the value of 0.22. Also, the air intakes on the bonnet are hexagonal, and move depending on the need for air, which also hints at the breath of a fish through its gills.

The futuristic concept also has a retro accent, as well as a classic dial. In the driver's side door, instead of the mouth of fueling, we find an analog indicator for the charging status of the batteries. At the rear, the lighting system is exclusively made of optical fiber, and includes a red laser light.

The interior is no less spectacular. Offering only two seats, it features a rectangular steering wheel and a curved board, which includes the dashboard and multimedia system.

The specialists from Renault have created a fully electric motor for the Trezor concept. Based on engines used by the Renault e.dams team, double world champion in Formula E, the engine of the prototype Renault Trezor develops an output of 260 kW (350 hp) and 380 Nm of torque, which allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 4 seconds. Like in Formula E, it uses RESS technology (Rechargeable Energy Storage System), which allows it to recover energy from braking.

Thanks to the disposition of two batteries, one in front and one in back, the weight of the Renault Trezor prototype is distributed in an optimal way. The wide gauge (2,048 mm front and 2,106 mm rear), wheelbase of 2,776 mm and ground clearance of 25 cm, along with very low center of gravity ensures excellent aerodynamics and is a pleasure to drive. To reduce weight, Renault engineers used in construction of the chassis a carbon central cell, continued with tubular steel unit in front and rear, and the bodywork and windows are made from 100 percent carbon.

Due to the MULTI-SENSE system, the Renault Trezor Concept provides three driving modes: neutral, sport and self-guided. Yup the car is autonomous.
The new Renault Trezor concept reveals the ambition of the French manufacturer to create autonomous cars. Equipped with autonomous driving system, Trezor turns his steering wheel to give the driver a broad vision of the dashboard. According to Renault, after 2020 all its models will be offered with autonomous driving systems that will not require driver involvement.
