Renault has just revealed the latest versions of the Megane Renaultsport and the Clio Cup. The all new Clio Cup is a 220 BHP displacing special edition model and the vehicle packs in a range of options which are beneficial to the car. An upgraded chassis is the base of all modifications and change the way the vehicles sits in the segment and performs.

The car is subtle and aggressive at the same time while the vehicle has enhanced it is safety measures as well thanks to the upgraded roll cage, Torsion rigidity have been increased while better safety and rigidity makes this vehicle one of the best Limited Editions that we have on road.
The Clio Cup is powered by a direct fuel injected, turbo charged 1.6 liter petrol engine displacing 220 BHP.

Renault is offering a wide range of transmission on this car which have their respective advantages and disadvantages on the car. Starting from a six speed manual transmission system, high differential transmissions are also available which have a wide range of performance options. Shifting is the real deal and Renault has kept it real simple by allowing shift times of just about a hundred milliseconds.

Drivers have the freedom to choose from a wheel mounted shift paddle to basic stick shifters depending upon the various driving styles. This gives the car a very wide appeal in terms of drive dynamics which give it a very different drive feel. Aerodynamically, this may not be the best in the range, although the front bumpers have additional blades similar to the ones used in Formula One cars. The Cup displaces close to 199 ft lb of torque and this is sufficiently high once you consider the general power to weight ratio of the car.

Exterior changes are not vast although LED Daytime Running Lights, front and rear bumpers, rear spoiler and dual exhaust pipes have been added. The Renault Megane Renaultsport also draws attention to itself due to the advanced dynamics of the car. It is aesthetically pleasing while sporting some of the most advanced features in class.

The Megane Renaultsport has been designed along with Red Bull which gives the car its name – Megane Renaultsport Red Bull Racing R88. The company will manufacture just 30 units of the car and is expected to go about £28,245 per unit. This Limited Edition will feature an exclusive paint scheme which will differentiate it from the standard Megane Renaultsport. Red Bull Graphics has been added to the car while the paint scheme is basically based on the colors of Red Bull.

Details of the specifications and interior are yet to be unveiled which raises the hype around the vehicles even more. This is a very sensitive situation at the moment while experts believe that the cars will don a revises version of the turbo charged 2.0 liter engine which is present on the standard models. Acceleration from 0 – 60 MPH is possible well within 6 seconds while the cars are expected to sport a top speed of 158 MPH.
