Renault anticipates a market growth for the new Duster
|   Tuesday, September 24, 2013
It seems that the Duster which has been recently produces in Indonesia is also going to hit the market of the same country. The car manufacturer has spotted a favorable market for this SUV and would like to exploit it using the semi knockdown kits brought from India.

Currently very popular as Dacia in Europe and as Renault in Africa, the Duster has debuted on the market as an economical SUV and it is a good variant for those drivers who are not willing to pay for other more expensive Renault SUVs such as Koleos or Megane.

Also, Renault is working on several upgraded versions of SUVs at the same time. Moreover, the company is expanding the production of Koleos and Megane on the European market, more precisely in Spain, and at the same time, in Korea. Developing both on the European and on the Asian market at the same time is such a wise step for Renault which can be considering an expanding company which is surely going to reach the performance of other companies soon enough if they continue this clever strategy.

Indonesia has not been randomly chosen, though. The Indonesian market, exactly like Renault, is currently expanding and it seems that it actually represents an important powerhouse of the Southeast Asia.

Also, a study has recently shown the fact that Indonesia is indeed a young market as the results showed that there are no more than 36 vehicles per 1000 residents. There is indeed a huge difference between the same study results made in the Western Europe: 560 cars for 1000 residents.

Renault is one of the companies that quickly observed the lack of vehicles on the Indonesian market and has rapidly taken advantage of this fact, developing a manufacturing plant in there and a lot of dealers and distributors.

The wise strategy of Renault has actually been confirmed by the chief performance officer, Jerome Stoll who has recently stated that the Asia Pacific is currently the big focus of Renault and in the coming years the streets are going to be full of Renault designed vehicles.

Indeed, Renault is going to start producing most of the models which have previously been launched in Europe and which rapidly gained success and the trust of drivers. So, those travelling in Asia should be ready to see the same Renault models as seen in Europe or, amazing enough, perhaps more.

Yet, the European models will be personalized in such a way as to meet the demands of the Asia drivers as it is actually impossible that the same features to appeal to the people living on the other part of the planet. Several tests will be run and the vehicles will be built in accordance with the results.

The expansion will have to go very fast in order to reach the results expected by the company. It seems that the Renault models will be sold throughout the country by Indomobil and in order to meet the expectations and reach the forecasted results, 45 showrooms will be inaugurated by the beginning of 2016.
