Ready to hit the road: 2013 Mercedes-Benz C250 Sport
|   Monday, September 02, 2013
Mercedes-Benz C250 is one of those cars that offer that amazing driving enjoyment everyone is mad about. It currently competes with several other vehicles in the same range: Audi A4, Cadillac ATS, Lexus IS250 or BMW 328i but due to the more deluxe characteristics, Mercedes-Benz C250 might entirely fit the range.

The current version of the car has been launched with a base price of $36,255. At this base price the vehicle can come with on of the most expensive and spectacular options – the Dynamic Sport package.

This could be one great deal as the Dynamic Sport package, which costs $3,050, includes a set of exclusive split spoke 18 inch wheels, MB-Tex/Dinamica sport seats, sport steering wheel and speed sensitive steering.
Other than this, the Premium 1 package, which costs $2,500, can bring some further optional items: 10 way power driver's seat, Sirius Satellite Radio or split folding rear seats. Some other optional elements one can acquire are back decklid spoiler for only $300 or a special order fee of $250.

Mercedes Benz C250 Sport is equipped with a tubocharged 1.8 liter, four-cylinder, very up to date aluminum engine which has been ranked at 201 hp and 229 pound feet of torque. Although all these figures make a very good impression, it seems that Lexus 2.5 liter six is even more powerful, if we were to compare.

A seven speed automatic transmission has been added on the C250 in order to have the power to drop greater power to the rear wheels. When it comes about power, this new vehicle is indeed a rough one. As many drivers have been dreaming about, it includes a "sport" button which is able to take the throttle response to an quicker level through the adjusting dampers and the steering which becomes a lot heavier.

Whenever the "sport" button is pushed, the vehicle should be able to reach 60 miles per hour in just 6.5 seconds making the driver completely aware that the turbocharged four-banger successfully functions. The overall impact of Mercedes-Bens 250 is that of a competent and comfortable car which features an incredible control also achieved by the incredible grip provided by the continental Contisport tires. However, the steering effort could have been rather flashy.

Most of the customers will be happy to find out the new Mercedes Benz C250 is an economic car as the EPA rates show a 1.8 liter at 22 mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway. If one would like to reach the figures which were declared by EPA then the "sport" mode should not be used on a regular basis as it instantly increases the fuel consumption. As part of the same range, Mercedes-Benz C250 Sport can be compared with BMW 328i but it can be concluded that the Mercedes luxury sedan is a more wise, yet practical choice if we think of the performance of the vehicle in the using the fascinating "sport" option.
