Range Rover Updated With Semi-Autonomous Driving Systems And Sporty Version
|   Monday, August 22, 2016
Until a proper facelift is presented, Land Rover updated the Range Rover model with a series of semi-autonomous driving systems and infotainment. Beginning in the winter of 2016, Land Rover will propose the Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic model, an updated version of equipment for its imposing SUV.

This model has a V8 engine, 550 hp and 680 Nm of torque, coupled to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. It goes from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.4 seconds.
The Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic is only available with the standard length chassis version and has recalibrated suspension and ground clearance reduced by 8 mm to provide more agility without compromising the typical comfort of the Range Rover model.

Two electronic systems watch over the car's handling and stability. The Dynamic Response system reduces body tilting and the Adaptive Dynamics system monitors up to 500 times per second the SUV's movements, reacting to driver maneuvers and upheavals on the roadway.

The sporty style of the Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic model is underlined by the 21- or 22-inch wheels, in Graphite Atlas color, inserts which customizes the bodywork and the red color in which the calipers of the Brembo brake system are painted, as well as part of the interior upholstery. Also, the flaps behind the wheel, the ones changing the transaxle gear, are red too. The dashboard and center console has Grand Black color inserts and some of the buttons on board are a special model.

With the launch of the Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic the full Range Rover model is updated with a host of intelligent systems that assist driving.
The dashboard integrates a new 10-inch touchscreen monitor for the multimedia system inControl Touch Pro. This screen simultaneously displays different images for the driver and front passenger. In addition, inControl Touch Pro now offers a navigation system with multiple functions.

For example, through the smartphone application Route Planner the driver can select a destination. The app will show you first the route by car then connects with its navigation system. Once you arrive by car, near the destination and parks in its vicinity, your smartphone will display the walking route to the location where the user wants to reach.

The novelties list continues with the Advanced Tow Assist system, which automatically maneuvers the car when it has a trailer anchored. This system uses the network of video cameras which give an image all around the SUV.

For departures on low-grip surface, such as wet grass, gravel, snow or ice, the Range Rover will be assisted by the Low Traction Launch system, which adjusts traction and automatically turns off when you reach the speed of 30 km / h.

Range Rover will also have an automatic braking system when the driver does not act to avoid a collision with a car in the path of the SUV. We also have detection systems for the cars which are in the blind spot, reading the traffic signs, and detection of cars that pass behind his Range Rover when it is engaged in a reverse maneuver.
Also, the autopilot reduces running speed using information from the system that reads the traffic signs.
